Every price cut of more than 20% we have observed, in each market that quoted one, with this game's chart position on either side of it. These are episodes, not a model: a sale is one event, and one event cannot tell you what the next one will do.

For scale, across Steam · Top Sellers · Brazil over the last 30 days: the 26 chart moves that followed a price cut of more than 20% went a median of 7 places towards #1, and the 2,400 moves with no price cut behind them went 2 away. One store, one chart, one country — it is the only place we have enough observations to say even that.
Prices outside the United States have been collected since 6 August 2026 and chart positions since 19 July 2026, so a cut older than that has no market to compare and a market that joined later has no history yet. Nothing here is converted between currencies.

Random, poorly thought out and has nothing to do to with Valkeryie or norse mythology. Its a roguelike which isn't a terrible concept, but despite using a copyright friendly verison of Lenneth, their are no Einhjer, its just you on your own. Your only allowed 3 skills and a healing potion, and the atk power of those skills often doesnt really indicate how much damage it will do. There is also a ridiculous amount of randomness in this game, enemies can be pathetically weak or take you out in a hit or two, a boss might be easy or it might one shot you. A goddess statue might fully heal you, or put a status effect on that means you will deal almost 0 damage to an enemy of your level (while you never have any other party members, even when Freya joins you in the tutorial (which happens because it happened in valkerie Profile i guess she doesnt actually join your party. I like some concepts in this game, like scouting out rooms on a floor before decidung which one you pick, but the gameplay is completely random and flavour wise this could be a generic tolkien esque fantasy setting about a lone hero fighting random animal people and nothing wold change. Even for cheap I can't recomend it
wasting time !!

RPG Maker strikes again! Valkyrie: Journey To Midgard is one of hundreds of low effort retro-pixel RPG Maker asset/construction kit flips spamming the Steam catalog, made with the RPG Maker video game construction kit... in their own words, "Our easy to use tools are simple enough for a child." Like all RPG Maker "games", this is essentially a bunch of low quality/canned assets from RPG Maker coupled with a cringeworthy high school anime club fan fiction. This one is only notable for a couple of reasons... the sheer laziness of the developer exceeds almost every other RPG Maker asset flipper to ever disgrace the gaming industry, they didn't bother adding any content to this asset flip and just made it "roguelite", which means it's all just samey procgen everything. And they ripped off Norse mythology, badly. Too lazy to come up with your own fantasy stuff? Just rip off a religion, they're in the public domain! So you can see just what kind of trash we're dealing with here. As with all RPG Maker games, the poor quality engine displays badly in fullscreen and doesn't have full HD support or any graphics tweaking options, making this unacceptable for any dedicated modern PC gamer. The point can be made that the intention of RPG Maker is to make demos and small games to pass around friends, and shouldn't be used for "professional" game development. Like most RPG Maker shovelware and asset flips, the game features extremely low quality copy + pasted 2D retro pixel art, looks awful, and has even worse gameplay. RPG Maker is an absolutely terrible construction kit, and never results in games of any reasonable quality or value to gamers. The game features no proper level design or game/story flow/plot, as they opted to try to use samey repetitive procgen algorithms as a substitute for adding such content to the game, to avoid doing the important job of level/map design. As a result, the game doesn't actually have any content worth mentioning, just endless, boring, repetitive, soulless algorithmically generated sameyness. Developers must learn that procedural generation is not an acceptable substitute for content. The poor quality of this game is reflected by how many people spent time with it. At the time of this review, SteamDB shows the all-time peak player number was only 3 players. This is a remarkably low number, and now, the only player activity occurs once or twice a month, presumably someone loading it up to see what it is then quickly uninstalling it. Considering there's over 120 million gamers on Steam and well over 50,000 games for gamers to choose from (over 9,000 completely free titles), the overwhelming lack of interest in this low quality game is to be expected.
Warning: Review Manipulation!
This game features a number of fake positive reviews from accounts known to be in the business of review manipulation/paid reviews. They're all written in either Russian or broken English, appear at almost exactly the same time, very shortly after the game launched on Steam, all have a direct Steam purchase of the game, and the accounts are used consistently to write fake reviews for asset flips and other cash grabs/scams. The "Positive" review score on this game should be disregarded due to this blatant, unethical review manipulation. This is done to deceive and scam gamers into paying for a bad product. Valkyrie: Journey To Midgard is relatively cheap at $2 USD, but it's not worth it. Given the defects and quality issues with the game, coupled with the unrealistic price, and the questionable ethical nature of the developer and/or their associates (as outlined above), this is impossible to recommend. Gamers who want a good retro JRPG experience would be better off playing the originals, like Final Fantasy, Star Ocean or Chrono Trigger.
Valkyrie: Journey To Midgard is a simple, old school RPG. Here is the basic story "A Dragon Orb has been stolen from Asgard. Valkyrie has been sent down to Midgard to retrieve the lost treasure. The goddess must not only overcome fierce monsters, but also to face a dark conspiracy that will affect all of nine realms." For a start, it sounds way more exciting than it actually is. You play as "Valkyrie", and you find yourself in a dungeon, sadly a pretty basic looking dungeon. You will die a lot in this game, and when you do die, you have to start at the beginning, luckily you will come across Save Crystals, so if you do die, just exit the game, and continue from a save point. Because not to confuse the save crystals (clear in colour) with red ones, which are a boss fight. Each room of the dungeon will contain multiple paths, and along the way you will find coffins that may contain helpful items, like armour or weapon upgrades. You will also find statues you can pray to; they may give you a positive benefit or a negative one. And you will also come across monsters. Battles are turn based, and pretty simple to figure out. There are boss fights that you can avoid for a while, and then when you think you are strong enough, the next time you come across one you can choose to take it on. The graphics are simple but fine, most of the time you are in the dungeons which are dark. The sound effects are ok for what they are. The Good Simple concept, easy to learn, fun to have a quick go on, and see if you can get further than you did previously. The Bad There's just not that much to the game. But for £1.69 what do you really expect. Overall Not the best RPG you will play, but also not the worst, perhaps a nice starter RPG for newbies to the genre. I give Valkyrie: Journey To Midgard a fair 6/10

Confront formidable monsters and gather treasures while striving to endure in the ominous dungeon. In this challenging RPG, you assume the role of a Valkyrie who has journeyed to Midgard to reclaim the Dragon Orb, one of the four most revered divine treasures. This quest will prove arduous, as numerous increasingly powerful monsters obstruct your path. To survive, you must learn to adapt to your circumstances and tailor your combat style accordingly. This hardcore RPG offers a highly customizable fighting experience. The game is engaging and encourages strategic thinking, allowing players to plan their moves meticulously. While there are virtually no significant drawbacks, any minor issues present are negligible.
