Prices
Each in the currency that store quoted — not converted: the gap between two rows is the publisher's pricing, not an exchange rate.
13 of 15 markets; the rest we haven't asked for this title, not markets where it is unavailable.
Availability
We put this game to every storefront we collect. A market that answered not sold has told us something about the game; a market we never asked has not, and the two are never drawn the same.
Discounts
Every price cut of more than 20% we have observed, in each market that quoted one, with this game's chart position on either side of it. These are episodes, not a model: a sale is one event, and one event cannot tell you what the next one will do.
Reviews, worldwide (the counter carries no country): 0/day in the week to Aug 21 → 2/day in the week after.
For scale, across Steam · Top Sellers · Brazil over the last 30 days: the 22 chart moves that followed a price cut of more than 20% went a median of 9 places towards #1, and the 2,513 moves with no price cut behind them went 2 away. One store, one chart, one country — it is the only place we have enough observations to say even that.
Prices outside the United States have been collected since 6 August 2026 and chart positions since 19 July 2026, so a cut older than that has no market to compare and a market that joined later has no history yet. Nothing here is converted between currencies.

Really enjoyable
I just bought this and played a few years ago. Didn't know this game flopped when it was released lol this game is really good. Combat, story, all of them really good.
the game to play, if you want to experience a decent port with a nice story and characters, game play is tactical, in theory, but wants you to do specific things in order to advance specific missions, not for everyone

13 on sale2 answered “not sold”0 we did not ask
The 2 “not sold” markets are read from the Steam price pass of Sep 11: that day the store answered for this game elsewhere and gave no price in those. The 13 priced markets are the same rows as the table above — each the latest price we hold, dated here when it is older than that pass. The 0 marked “not asked” were not put to this store at all — either it has no storefront there or we do not collect it yet, and neither is a statement about the game. A refusal is a refusal on one day; a store can list a title again tomorrow.

A great turn based strategy game with a compelling story and fun gameplay. It's a fun cross between a third person shooter, a strategy game, an RPG with upgrades to guns and armor for units, and a visual novel with a really great fantasy wartime story. The game is fairly casual, I don't think it's that hard unless you're going for the high rank at the end of every stage, but that's a post game thing.
(i played most of it in offline mode so my total playtime isn't show correctly, save file says 32 hours) i played VC2 on cardtridge and VC3 on emulator but i had this one still pending, i sort of knew already what happened due to playing the sequels first but i would say it was still very much worth it as a experience even with that in mind, is far from perfect but is a fun game that adds an element of real time action to your average turn based jrpg, the lore doesn't go as deep as i would like but there are enough elements taken both from real life WW, WWII along fantasy that gives the game an unique personality (there is a complementary anime series based on this game too if interested in a more expanded version of the story) at 30 hours of gameplay i A ranked all story missions, reports and i did all the upgrades of units and weapons, beat both story DLC and A ranked the skirmish battles in multiple diffs (with the exception of hard mode) and half of the dlc challenges, i estimate it would take me around 35 hours to complete everything, doing only the main story + character reports took me around 24 hours? so you can expect something like that even if you don't plan to 100% the game pros: -runs at max settings even on potatoes -plenty of cute war waifus, you are guaranteed to have a couple of favorites by the end of your walkthrough -totally not poland fends off an invasion by itself in a way that is semi believable (so you can tell it's good fictional writing) cons: -the first handful of missions are just tutorials -you need to level and upgrade you characters and weapons a little bit before they stop sucking at everything -aside the 5 / 6 main characters the other members of your squad don't get any actual showtime (with the exception of one of the DLC)
The game has given me the same mood when I watched "The Pacific" :'D
I think this game holds up pretty well. It very much feels like an evolution of fire emblem, I’m sure even more so back in 2008. I would recommend playing it if you’re a fan of these kinds of games. That said, at 30 hours, it feels pretty short for turn based strategy games, but it still feels a hair too long. Maybe that’s just where I am in life. The story is probably above average, but nothing to write home about. The art style, music, and gameplay are all great, aside from the gimmick levels, which are typically pretty frustrating and where I ended up wasting most of my time. A few QoL features would go a long way. Being able to speed up/skip enemy turns and auto-progress on the dialogue in particular would make some parts of the game feel less like a slog. Otherwise, one shotting troops with a sniper never gets old.
Love the art style, story, and gameplay. Very unique.
After watching someone play this, I decided to get it and I'm not disappointed in it, as a matter of fact I feel like I'm taken back to my childhood where I'd play WW2 video games and watch documentaries about the war. Maybe I would've liked this game when it first came out if I had a PS3 at the time.
