Every price cut of more than 20% we have observed, in each market that quoted one, with this game's chart position on either side of it. These are episodes, not a model: a sale is one event, and one event cannot tell you what the next one will do.

For scale, across Steam · Top Sellers · Brazil over the last 30 days: the 26 chart moves that followed a price cut of more than 20% went a median of 7 places towards #1, and the 2,400 moves with no price cut behind them went 2 away. One store, one chart, one country — it is the only place we have enough observations to say even that.
Prices outside the United States have been collected since 6 August 2026 and chart positions since 19 July 2026, so a cut older than that has no market to compare and a market that joined later has no history yet. Nothing here is converted between currencies.
About
Utopia Must Fall is a vector-flavored base-defending arcade shooter with rapid progression, procedurally generated attack waves and enough upgrade variety to suit both the defensive or aggressive player.
It incorporates elements from tower defense, roguelikes and beyond, all neatly packaged into a laser-sharp bullet-purgatory arcade frenzy!
Easy To Learn: firing happens automatically, just steer the city's turret and launch the occasional sky-clearing nuclear warhead. Each day of survival is rewarded with an upgrade for your defenses, choose wisely to keep humanity alive for as long as possible.
Sizable Upgrade Tree: progress is fast and allows you to pick strategies to suit your playing style — beef up your rail gun into a multi-barrel death machine, strengthen your shield's auto defense abilities, deploy and configure an array of autonomous battle drones and laser turrets, or go all out on aggression and see out Utopia's final days with a stockpile of nukes and a shotgun the size of a building.
Arcade-Focused: In Utopia, all universes are created equal, and death is final. Earn upgrades and unlock new abilities by completing mini-challenges as you defend the city. There is a light meta-progression now that allows you to unlock Opportunity Upgrades to use in later runs, but the vast majority of options are unlocked with skill as opposed to grind. Get good to get the good stuff!
Laser-Shiny: built with our own V99 graphics engine, bringing you the retro-modern vector arcade style you didn't know you needed yet.

It's a cross between Missile Command and Galaga with roguelite elements. It's good fun, but I can't help but be struck by how many mechanics and design choices feel ripped almost verbatim from Nova Drift, one of Pixeljam's other games. From the enemy design, the upgrade system, the progression, if you've played Nova Drift it almost feels like a reskin of that game. And I mean sure, that game is fun, but the problems I have with it are exactly the same ones I have with Utopia Must Fall. Mainly how each upgrade is it's own discrete unit on an upgrade tree, but rather than introducing new mechanics many of them just buff stats. It works fine for awhile but say you really wanna go all in on one path, once you reach the end of that path you're basically forced to diversify or just forego all future upgrades. And hypothetically, if you were good enough you could reach a point where you literally run out of upgrades to take and are essentially softlocked as the enemies gain stats and you don't. I think maybe there could be a points system for your main stats kinda like in souls games, and then the current upgrade system could be for introducing new mechanics or other miscellaneous niche buffs? I suppose Nova Drift solved this problem with the recursive upgrades (I think that's what they were called it's been awhile since I've played) but I was still never a huge fan of the upgrade system in that game and I'm a little disappointed they chose an almost identical system here. Those are pretty specific gripes though, and I would say it was well worth the not even 5 dollars I spent on it. Excited to see where it goes in the future.

funny little game, recommandations for casual analog lovers.
Velice zajímavý a originální počin. Hra těžkne každým dalším kolem a to brutálně. Zajímalo by mě, jestli hra nabízí nějaký konec.
Fantastic retro feel with all the modern goodness. Works great on my Steam Deck
Good game. Can't wait to see what more's in store as the game gets closer to 1.0.
It's great
Is it possible for us to have easy/normal/hard mode to pick? Present version seem to be to hard for me to clear. I respect those guys who might consider this version to be easy but i also want to beat the boss. I'm not sure how much work will this bring. Maybe the easiest way of doing it is just make all enemies hp reduce to 85% or whatever.
