About
You know, when you explain an idea, the idea fundamentally changes.
UNBEATABLE is an anime-juiced rhythm adventure where you (figuratively) destroy on stage while you (literally) destroy on stage. During rhythm gameplay, you only need two buttons: a button for up and a button for down. Simple to understand! The complicated part is doing it. Try not to get destroyed yourself.
Half the game is walking around and taking things at your own pace. The other half is trying to keep up with ours.
The pink-haired girl is Beat, and she is you, and you have a lot of things to worry about. The cops are everywhere, and they are mad at you for what feels like no good reason. Though it doesn't help your case that you keep making friends with people that the cops are mad at for slightly better reasons. But what do I know?
Talk to people, help them out (or don't, I'm not your mom!), play huge concerts, and punch cops. And then run away from the cops you punched. Also there are monsters or something. Not sure what's going on there?!?!
All of this culminates in massive setpieces where everything is at stake. The music got you here. It'll get you through it.
*if this was 1999 this section would be called "talk the talk and rock the rock"
UNBEATABLE's full arcade mode is an entire game by itself with its own progression system and a full online component. There's modifiers, tons of songs (with more to come!) and a whole challenge board to beat, with things to do that range from as simple as "beat a song on easy mode" to, one may presume, something as complicated as "solve an ancient riddle while skateboarding." That's not a real example.
**if this was 1999 this section would be called "party like it's now"
FEATURES:
Story Mode: 6-8 hours. Arcade Mode: UNLIMITED
Characters that hate you!
Maybe also some that don't!
The arcade mode has a cute little profile you can customize and unlock stuff for and I think that's pretty neat
Graphics! We'd describe them but I mean it's right there, you can see it
A whole entire double album worth of original songs
plus acoustic versions of those songs
oh and also remixes, too
You can unlock all the songs by playing the narrative OR just by playing the arcade game exclusively! Great for those who truly hate stories
Something (in this game) will make you feel something (in real life)!
It's anime
If you think about it, QTEs are basically just rhythm games with no music
Please, whatever you do, the title is either all caps or no caps. Be kind to us.
And the idea changes you in return.

I played this game during a very confusing time in my life. Nothing really felt right and I didn't really know who I was. I was struggling to do much and I just didn't know what I even wanted in the first place. And then I saw this game. I had followed unbeatable for awhile but never super closely, just enough to be interested in it. And when I finally heard about it coming out and saw it on the steam shop I just said screw it, why not? The game was clunky at first, some stuff didn't feel right and I was struggling to really feel the game. But I just played a bit more and it just... hit. The level of passion that was put into this game is undeniable. And a lot of the story just hit home with me, and it gave me something I didn't think anyone could give me. The feeling of being understood, and the answer to what I had been feeling. The songs in the game are also insanely good, some of the best game music i've heard ever. If you're ever considering this game, please buy it. I promise you it is worth it. Game is beatable tho...

For scale, across Steam · Top Sellers · Brazil over the last 30 days: the 23 chart moves that followed a price cut of more than 20% went a median of 14 places towards #1, and the 2,515 moves with no price cut behind them went 2 away. One store, one chart, one country — it is the only place we have enough observations to say even that.
Prices outside the United States have been collected since 6 August 2026 and chart positions since 19 July 2026, so a cut older than that has no market to compare and a market that joined later has no history yet. Nothing here is converted between currencies.

♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥, I played this through MONTHS ago and I still cant stop thinking about it. I've probably spent more time thinking about the game when not playing it than I have playing the game.
Like with the other reviews you should play the story mode to UNBEATABLE from beginning to end and after that play the acarde mode for 300 hours like ive done! I love UNBEATABLE so much man ...
favorite rhythm game of all time. great songs, great voice acting (aside from that one tiktoker who voiced the newscaster in that one cutscene at the start of episode 2), really unique art style, and while I haven't finished the story mode yet, the writing is equal parts clever and sincere.
this game has the sauce
my 21 year old adhd ass never resonate with a game this much. 10/10
"resonate" cuz its a rhythm game. cuz it's about music. so. resonate. get it?
It was around the beginning where i was like "wow, this is incredible and i can see why this is someone's favorite game!" It was at the end where I thought "this game understands how I feel like literally nothing I've ever experienced" It was at that moment I came to a horrified realization: I have a new favorite game.
love this dam game
this game has chaotic energy in a good way, but the charting of inputs is a nightmare with a 85% bi-color scheme. stuff comes so fast that when the camera is doing all the fancy shaking (in "quiet" mode or how is it called even!) and all animation are running, that rather than challenged by the rhythm I am challenged by the visuals (some do COVER partially or entirely the input smybols!!). Overall, I have the feeling charting was designed for a small screen e.g. Steam deck, so that everything is under control at any time, but on PC, full-screen mode on a standard monitor, it is hard to track down where the input will spawn. some more QA would have been nice, there is clipping into assets, soft-locking in the middle of cutscenes (need to close-restart and watch again the sequence hoping it doesn't get stuck again) and text with VA suddenly going silent. All of this is not game breaking tho. At a discount is a good product. This is their first game so I am keeping a positive mindset but for their next title it is expected they really put more effort into the technical decisions, especially how the inpurt charting is presented visually.
Ive played a lot of rythym games. Like a LOT but this game was actually amazing. Sure some rythym games have a story and the mechanics are great but this game did it so well. The story for this game was amazing I love it so much with the quality and the overall gameplay. But the music is something different, playing through this game and seeing Beat's character development within her songs. The music also had so much feeling to it and it really brought out how Beat felt. Overall this game is made for literally anyone. If your good at rythym games, if you suck but still enjoy them. This game has different difficulties for the main story that basically allows anyone to enjoy it at their own level. Soooo yeah try this game it might not be for everyone but it is definitely something I enjoyed and feel that other people can would enjoy.
