About
You know, when you explain an idea, the idea fundamentally changes.
UNBEATABLE is an anime-juiced rhythm adventure where you (figuratively) destroy on stage while you (literally) destroy on stage. During rhythm gameplay, you only need two buttons: a button for up and a button for down. Simple to understand! The complicated part is doing it. Try not to get destroyed yourself.
Half the game is walking around and taking things at your own pace. The other half is trying to keep up with ours.
The pink-haired girl is Beat, and she is you, and you have a lot of things to worry about. The cops are everywhere, and they are mad at you for what feels like no good reason. Though it doesn't help your case that you keep making friends with people that the cops are mad at for slightly better reasons. But what do I know?
Talk to people, help them out (or don't, I'm not your mom!), play huge concerts, and punch cops. And then run away from the cops you punched. Also there are monsters or something. Not sure what's going on there?!?!
All of this culminates in massive setpieces where everything is at stake. The music got you here. It'll get you through it.
*if this was 1999 this section would be called "talk the talk and rock the rock"
UNBEATABLE's full arcade mode is an entire game by itself with its own progression system and a full online component. There's modifiers, tons of songs (with more to come!) and a whole challenge board to beat, with things to do that range from as simple as "beat a song on easy mode" to, one may presume, something as complicated as "solve an ancient riddle while skateboarding." That's not a real example.
**if this was 1999 this section would be called "party like it's now"
FEATURES:
Story Mode: 6-8 hours. Arcade Mode: UNLIMITED
Characters that hate you!
Maybe also some that don't!
The arcade mode has a cute little profile you can customize and unlock stuff for and I think that's pretty neat
Graphics! We'd describe them but I mean it's right there, you can see it
A whole entire double album worth of original songs
plus acoustic versions of those songs
oh and also remixes, too
You can unlock all the songs by playing the narrative OR just by playing the arcade game exclusively! Great for those who truly hate stories
Something (in this game) will make you feel something (in real life)!
It's anime
If you think about it, QTEs are basically just rhythm games with no music
Please, whatever you do, the title is either all caps or no caps. Be kind to us.
And the idea changes you in return.

Reviews
2 buttons, VS to many buttons. A Rythem game with a heartfelt story,. A challange is hard to find. I will be back to unbeatable arcade. Songs are hardly awesome. (Hard & Awesome)
ストーリー、アニメーション、演出含めて素晴らしい作品でした
There are a lot of things not great about this game, but I thoroughly enjoyed my experience with it

For scale, across Steam · Top Sellers · Brazil over the last 30 days: the 23 chart moves that followed a price cut of more than 20% went a median of 14 places towards #1, and the 2,515 moves with no price cut behind them went 2 away. One store, one chart, one country — it is the only place we have enough observations to say even that.
Prices outside the United States have been collected since 6 August 2026 and chart positions since 19 July 2026, so a cut older than that has no market to compare and a market that joined later has no history yet. Nothing here is converted between currencies.

my first ever rhythm game and the rhythm game aspect does not disappoint! the story though is uh. Hm. I'd say worth it for every other aspect though
This game really touched me (not in the bad way), One of the (if not) the BEST experience I will ever have when playing something "meaningless in life". Thank You Unbeatable..
I like rhythm games in principle. I consider myself bad at rhythm games. I first heard of this game back in April 2025 when the demo was released for Steam Next Fest. Somehow I managed to miss the Kickstarter, but we can blame COVID for that. Anyway, something jumped out at me - that je ne sais quoi, as they say. So I downloaded the demo and played through the vertical slice presented. I was immediately grabbed. Not a lot of games do that. Oh, the arcade rhythm game was pretty fun, too. Time passes. RJ and his crew are incredible hype masters. Normally I bristle at marketing in general, but they have what they call the sauce. I started going through trailers and watching the new ones as they came out. The music is absurdly good. I cannot wait to play this game. The delay from November was crushing, because I could not wait to go through the story. But it took me into a vacation period, so I'll give it that on accident. Game comes out. I get home from work and play it as soon as I'm able. Incredible atmosphere. Show, don't tell. Also, there's voice acting suddenly! (The demo did not have it.) I haven't had a feeling this good about a game since the prologue of Metal Gear Rising (if you've played it you know exactly what I'm talking about). Even the bugs cannot stop me. It's got its hooks in. I have limited playtime, so I play through one chapter a day for the first 3 days. I get to chapter 4 on a day where I have plenty of time to play. A few hours later, the game goes into overdrive (if you've played it, you know what I'm talking about). Then the moment happens. Where you go "What? WHAT?" and then there's still more to go. And at that point I did not stop playing until I rolled the credits. Absolutely breathtaking experience for those who see it through to the end. I played two of the major 2025 GotY contenders (Silksong/Hades) contemporaneously and went back the next year to play E33, and those are all very strong games in their own right. But this was easily my game of the year 2025. Full stop. I've gotten pretty good at arcade mode, too. Play UNBEATABLE.
Fun, dynamic, and stylish, but slightly unpolished Narrative overall was great. I enjoyed all the different interactions you can have with the characters and the chemistry between them. But I did think the overarching story took a bit of a while to pick up. Story mode on the other hand, I think was just ok. There were a few frustrating moments I remember that I thought just didn't really fit in with the game, or wasn't quite necessary to be there. Arcade mode is where the real bulk of the fun is if you enjoy rhythm games. You can easily spend all your time here if you wanted. Variety of music, including music from the game itself and additional songs from different artists, multiple levels of difficulty with modifiers if you want, and gameplay just feels snappy and visually pleasing to look at. Overall, would recommend if you enjoy rhythm games. P.s. I also just love the way clef plays the drums in the background
cool
