About
You know, when you explain an idea, the idea fundamentally changes.
UNBEATABLE is an anime-juiced rhythm adventure where you (figuratively) destroy on stage while you (literally) destroy on stage. During rhythm gameplay, you only need two buttons: a button for up and a button for down. Simple to understand! The complicated part is doing it. Try not to get destroyed yourself.
Half the game is walking around and taking things at your own pace. The other half is trying to keep up with ours.
The pink-haired girl is Beat, and she is you, and you have a lot of things to worry about. The cops are everywhere, and they are mad at you for what feels like no good reason. Though it doesn't help your case that you keep making friends with people that the cops are mad at for slightly better reasons. But what do I know?
Talk to people, help them out (or don't, I'm not your mom!), play huge concerts, and punch cops. And then run away from the cops you punched. Also there are monsters or something. Not sure what's going on there?!?!
All of this culminates in massive setpieces where everything is at stake. The music got you here. It'll get you through it.
*if this was 1999 this section would be called "talk the talk and rock the rock"
UNBEATABLE's full arcade mode is an entire game by itself with its own progression system and a full online component. There's modifiers, tons of songs (with more to come!) and a whole challenge board to beat, with things to do that range from as simple as "beat a song on easy mode" to, one may presume, something as complicated as "solve an ancient riddle while skateboarding." That's not a real example.
**if this was 1999 this section would be called "party like it's now"
FEATURES:
Story Mode: 6-8 hours. Arcade Mode: UNLIMITED
Characters that hate you!
Maybe also some that don't!
The arcade mode has a cute little profile you can customize and unlock stuff for and I think that's pretty neat
Graphics! We'd describe them but I mean it's right there, you can see it
A whole entire double album worth of original songs
plus acoustic versions of those songs
oh and also remixes, too
You can unlock all the songs by playing the narrative OR just by playing the arcade game exclusively! Great for those who truly hate stories
Something (in this game) will make you feel something (in real life)!
It's anime
If you think about it, QTEs are basically just rhythm games with no music
Please, whatever you do, the title is either all caps or no caps. Be kind to us.
And the idea changes you in return.

To review UNBEATABLE, all caps or no caps, I think I need to start by positing a hypothetical. Have you ever turned on the radio, or been in a store where they've got music on, and heard some absolute schlock? Just, vapid, nothing pop music. Or maybe heard some corporate-ass stock music, that works too. And on a technical level, it's fine, maybe even quality, the notes are in key and it has the structure down right and maybe there's a little flourish in the background of the chorus if you're lucky, but you probably aren't. And it's fine, but you just feel nothing listening to it, because like. Who gives a ♥♥♥♥? Like, seriously. Who gives a ♥♥♥♥ about this stuff? The listeners? Does it have fans or people who've stockholmed themselves into subjecting themselves to this out of habit? Did the singers, the composers? It all feels written by committee, like a bunch of guys in suits got together to pay a band that's lost their drive to make a song that's tolerable to as many people as possible. And nobody gives a ♥♥♥♥. And that's, fine, I guess? Not giving a ♥♥♥♥ is something society really likes. Kids, kids give a ♥♥♥♥. They've got a lot of ♥♥♥♥♥ to give, it's a big scary world and they feel everything about it. But growing up, a lot of people say that growing up means you gotta stop giving a ♥♥♥♥. That you gotta settle for okay. Find a job that doesn't make you too miserable. Get married. Have kids. Retire. Die. Live the life you're supposed to, just don't give too much of a ♥♥♥♥ about it. Don't be upset when your dreams don't come to pass. Be realistic. To review UNBEATABLE, all caps or no caps, I need to continue with a second hypothetical. Have you ever gone and listened to a local band? They almost certainly give a ♥♥♥♥. They play and sing with a drive and passion you've NEVER heard from Grocery Store Pop Music, they play with crappy amps and their voice cracks and there's like four choruses even if that pisses you off because ♥♥♥♥ you they wanted that. They give a ♥♥♥♥! And on a technical level, it's not perfect. Sometimes it might even be bad. But ♥♥♥♥, you feel alive! Because they care, they care so ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ much, it makes YOU care! You give a ♥♥♥♥ about this music! In a world where everything is training you to not give a ♥♥♥♥, giving a ♥♥♥♥ means something. They don't want you to give a ♥♥♥♥ about your clothes, about your job, about how you're treated, about the government, about anything you actually believe in. Giving a ♥♥♥♥ means caring, about all of this. And giving a ♥♥♥♥ means being loud. I have played a lot of good games, a lot of deep games, a lot of games so full of love and care that it bleeds out from every little metaphorical pore, but UNBEATABLE is one of very few games I've experienced that feels the need to go out and scream that it GIVES A ♥♥♥♥. It has to give a ♥♥♥♥ LOUD. Everyone's gotta know it. And in ways, it falters. It has more flaws than games I care less about. Assets clipping, some wonky writing, that one chart that's an insane difficulty spike that pissed me off REALLY bad, that one ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ platforming side-challenge where the camera and ♥♥♥♥♥♥ collision make it just abhorrent but I wanted to commit, point is there are flaws. A lot of them. But, much like a local band, that's okay. Because Unbeatable GIVES A ♥♥♥♥. Even if that giving a ♥♥♥♥ kind of speaks to a teenage and young adult self-righteous directionless rage, it CARES on a level that's so lost in so many places. It is a game that does not compromise its vision just to be more broadly appealing, because that would mean not giving a ♥♥♥♥, and they REALLY give a ♥♥♥♥. You know, when you explain an idea, the idea fundamentally changes. I've spent my life not really giving a ♥♥♥♥. About how I dress, how I live, how much time I spend exhausted in bed, about what I eat, about what I do with my time, about how living like this is slowly ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ killing me. But UNBEATABLE is inspiring, in just how loud and brash it is. How much it gives a ♥♥♥♥. It makes me want to give a ♥♥♥♥. It makes me want to write a long and dumb review that makes the phrase "give a ♥♥♥♥" stop sounding like words, for one, but it also makes me want to try. To wear bright and cool clothes because ♥♥♥♥ anyone who thinks I should just blend in. It makes me want to make music again, make weirder music, louder music. It makes me want to go see local bands, go make more friends, UNBEATABLE makes me want to CARE. Because it cares just so ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ much that it's infectious, that it makes me want to live. I think once you've played UNBEATABLE, you'll either really like it or you really won't. But either way, you'll give a ♥♥♥♥, and I think that's all it really wants. And the idea changes you in return.

For scale, across Steam · Top Sellers · Brazil over the last 30 days: the 24 chart moves that followed a price cut of more than 20% went a median of 9 places towards #1, and the 2,404 moves with no price cut behind them went 2 away. One store, one chart, one country — it is the only place we have enough observations to say even that.
Prices outside the United States have been collected since 6 August 2026 and chart positions since 19 July 2026, so a cut older than that has no market to compare and a market that joined later has no history yet. Nothing here is converted between currencies.

How do I even talk about UNBEATABLE? The game as a whole is literally a masterpiece; the music, gameplay, story, voice acting, animation, and all the extra touches that weren't strictly necessary but are incredible nonetheless, made for a truly once-in-a-lifetime experience. It has the power to change you, transform you, and mold you into a better person, all while being, at its core, a silly story about a world where music is illegal and you commit crimes. The art direction in every detail is impeccable; you can truly *feel* everything around you, the passion poured into the game, and all the emotions conveyed through a simple landscape, an animation, or a song that plays throughout the game, and it is IMPOSSIBLE not to feel SOMETHING while listening to it. I wanted to put into words everything this game made me feel, emotions I’d forgotten existed, and how it inspired me to keep moving forward no matter what. But doing so would be redundant and merely a personal account, like any work of art, it is wide open to interpretation, and it certainly offers plenty of depth in that regard. I hope anyone ready for the adventure gives it a try, experiences it, and sees it through to the end—managing to feel at least 1% of what this game has to offer. It is a story about losing your way, this is not a love story. Beat is UNBEATABLE, You are UNBEATABLE
I really wanted to love this game, like i really did but just couldn't bring myself to ignore the problems with some of the fundamental mechanics of the game. To start i would like to preface that i have experience in both story based games and rhythm games, i 100% games like SOMA, Celeste, Insomniac Spider-Man, TitanFall2. I have enjoyed these games for their unique stories that make you feel for the characters that you portray. On top of that i have also played rhythm games like Bullets Per Minute, Beat Saber, Clone Hero, Osu and Friday Night Funkin. I enjoy the complexity that each game brings to the table and while some are much more simple then others, i feel that the simplicity invites more fast pace and "rhythm" oriented gameplay. So now that's out of the way i can say that this game is the biggest "potential Man" game I've ever seen. Its got lovely visuals and great original music that i ♥♥♥♥ with hard, not to mention the collab DLC with my favorite artist Jamie Paige, i was going into this game thinking the world since an artist like her had decided not only to shout it out but to actively add to it in a way i wish more indie artists would. But this game has fundamental problems with the story as a whole and the pacing for a player to follow. The first 30 minutes of the game feels like nothing, your abruptly introduced to the some random people that you don't see again (for as long as i played). Then your shown another pair of characters, one being the character you play as and the other who feels like an excuse to force the plot to progress. Without this smirky little ♥♥♥♥ "Quaver" none of the story happens and even worse then that she just knows ♥♥♥♥ that someone like her wouldn't or shouldn't know. I get that its a joke that the story pulls on and uses to its benefit? I say that because half the time she's just a little kid who would try to blindly fly into FORT ♥♥♥♥♥♥ NOXS, but only gets caught because they "changed the layout". and the other half of the time she's this magic genius who can learn to rewire a bomb in prison. The inconsistent use of the characters isn't just her the main character, "Beat" feels hollow. If that was by design then congrats, but i can guarantee it wasn't. The "story" feels lose with her, she's supposed to be a heroine who has lost the love for music and this is how she reignites that fire but, i never see the characteristics that beset someone who would be scared or tired or sick of a passion that they have refined for years that someone like her would feel. Then theirs the actual gameplay, a lot of the decisions you make, don't ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ matter. The idea in game design by offering other interactable for the play is to reward the time they spend by using their time, resources or by giving them a challenge is to then in exchange give them a piece of gear or maybe some small story points. Unfortunately since this game already has a mismanaged pacing with its characters, the gameplay suffers the same. YOU DONT PLAY THE RYHTM GAME FOR 30 MINUTES OF THE GAME ABOUT RYTHM. Do you know how frustrating and annoying it is to hold your hopes up for a game when your getting hit with "quirky" flavor text and dry millennial humor that can barely be conceived as comedy. The first 20 minutes of a game is the most important time for any Indie or triple-A studio to nail and deliver some exactment and draw the player in. This game doesn't do that and flounders for 2 hours and then actually gets good. The prison section of this game is the single most boring and mundane part, all of the mini games you play don't matter whether you do them correctly and have zero impact on the plot unless they hit you with a failure screen. For a game that has a lot to say and some very passionate people behind it, i sadly cannot recommend it, as the story is gimmicky and quirky, never really says anything pertinent or understandable to the player and lacks any grabbing features. I Could keep going as there are serious bugs and design flaws behind the game and while it also doesn't do a good job teaching you its extremely boring rhythm mechanics. Its still got me to play it. If you like 2 hours of bad story boarding and messy game design then buy this. I wish i didn't.
I Tire of the bitter part of the chocolate, but at least it was chocolate.
Although I'm someone who's not partial to rhythm games, I fully beat this game and if I could forget everything to go back through it for the first time again I would. Amazing story, great music, beautiful animation, and wonderful characters are just a few of the things that make this game truly worth trying even if your not a rhythm game player.
UNBEATABLE is something new. Something more. Something beautiful. I know it won't be the last.
It's good. It's really, really good.
