About
You know, when you explain an idea, the idea fundamentally changes.
UNBEATABLE is an anime-juiced rhythm adventure where you (figuratively) destroy on stage while you (literally) destroy on stage. During rhythm gameplay, you only need two buttons: a button for up and a button for down. Simple to understand! The complicated part is doing it. Try not to get destroyed yourself.
Half the game is walking around and taking things at your own pace. The other half is trying to keep up with ours.
The pink-haired girl is Beat, and she is you, and you have a lot of things to worry about. The cops are everywhere, and they are mad at you for what feels like no good reason. Though it doesn't help your case that you keep making friends with people that the cops are mad at for slightly better reasons. But what do I know?
Talk to people, help them out (or don't, I'm not your mom!), play huge concerts, and punch cops. And then run away from the cops you punched. Also there are monsters or something. Not sure what's going on there?!?!
All of this culminates in massive setpieces where everything is at stake. The music got you here. It'll get you through it.
*if this was 1999 this section would be called "talk the talk and rock the rock"
UNBEATABLE's full arcade mode is an entire game by itself with its own progression system and a full online component. There's modifiers, tons of songs (with more to come!) and a whole challenge board to beat, with things to do that range from as simple as "beat a song on easy mode" to, one may presume, something as complicated as "solve an ancient riddle while skateboarding." That's not a real example.
**if this was 1999 this section would be called "party like it's now"
FEATURES:
Story Mode: 6-8 hours. Arcade Mode: UNLIMITED
Characters that hate you!
Maybe also some that don't!
The arcade mode has a cute little profile you can customize and unlock stuff for and I think that's pretty neat
Graphics! We'd describe them but I mean it's right there, you can see it
A whole entire double album worth of original songs
plus acoustic versions of those songs
oh and also remixes, too
You can unlock all the songs by playing the narrative OR just by playing the arcade game exclusively! Great for those who truly hate stories
Something (in this game) will make you feel something (in real life)!
It's anime
If you think about it, QTEs are basically just rhythm games with no music
Please, whatever you do, the title is either all caps or no caps. Be kind to us.
And the idea changes you in return.

yeah its pretty good shrug crest should wear that maid outfit or whatever shrug

For scale, across Steam · Top Sellers · Brazil over the last 30 days: the 26 chart moves that followed a price cut of more than 20% went a median of 7 places towards #1, and the 2,402 moves with no price cut behind them went 2 away. One store, one chart, one country — it is the only place we have enough observations to say even that.
Prices outside the United States have been collected since 6 August 2026 and chart positions since 19 July 2026, so a cut older than that has no market to compare and a market that joined later has no history yet. Nothing here is converted between currencies.

To review UNBEATABLE, all caps or no caps, I think I need to start by positing a hypothetical. Have you ever turned on the radio, or been in a store where they've got music on, and heard some absolute schlock? Just, vapid, nothing pop music. Or maybe heard some corporate-ass stock music, that works too. And on a technical level, it's fine, maybe even quality, the notes are in key and it has the structure down right and maybe there's a little flourish in the background of the chorus if you're lucky, but you probably aren't. And it's fine, but you just feel nothing listening to it, because like. Who gives a ♥♥♥♥? Like, seriously. Who gives a ♥♥♥♥ about this stuff? The listeners? Does it have fans or people who've stockholmed themselves into subjecting themselves to this out of habit? Did the singers, the composers? It all feels written by committee, like a bunch of guys in suits got together to pay a band that's lost their drive to make a song that's tolerable to as many people as possible. And nobody gives a ♥♥♥♥. And that's, fine, I guess? Not giving a ♥♥♥♥ is something society really likes. Kids, kids give a ♥♥♥♥. They've got a lot of ♥♥♥♥♥ to give, it's a big scary world and they feel everything about it. But growing up, a lot of people say that growing up means you gotta stop giving a ♥♥♥♥. That you gotta settle for okay. Find a job that doesn't make you too miserable. Get married. Have kids. Retire. Die. Live the life you're supposed to, just don't give too much of a ♥♥♥♥ about it. Don't be upset when your dreams don't come to pass. Be realistic. To review UNBEATABLE, all caps or no caps, I need to continue with a second hypothetical. Have you ever gone and listened to a local band? They almost certainly give a ♥♥♥♥. They play and sing with a drive and passion you've NEVER heard from Grocery Store Pop Music, they play with crappy amps and their voice cracks and there's like four choruses even if that pisses you off because ♥♥♥♥ you they wanted that. They give a ♥♥♥♥! And on a technical level, it's not perfect. Sometimes it might even be bad. But ♥♥♥♥, you feel alive! Because they care, they care so ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ much, it makes YOU care! You give a ♥♥♥♥ about this music! In a world where everything is training you to not give a ♥♥♥♥, giving a ♥♥♥♥ means something. They don't want you to give a ♥♥♥♥ about your clothes, about your job, about how you're treated, about the government, about anything you actually believe in. Giving a ♥♥♥♥ means caring, about all of this. And giving a ♥♥♥♥ means being loud. I have played a lot of good games, a lot of deep games, a lot of games so full of love and care that it bleeds out from every little metaphorical pore, but UNBEATABLE is one of very few games I've experienced that feels the need to go out and scream that it GIVES A ♥♥♥♥. It has to give a ♥♥♥♥ LOUD. Everyone's gotta know it. And in ways, it falters. It has more flaws than games I care less about. Assets clipping, some wonky writing, that one chart that's an insane difficulty spike that pissed me off REALLY bad, that one ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ platforming side-challenge where the camera and ♥♥♥♥♥♥ collision make it just abhorrent but I wanted to commit, point is there are flaws. A lot of them. But, much like a local band, that's okay. Because Unbeatable GIVES A ♥♥♥♥. Even if that giving a ♥♥♥♥ kind of speaks to a teenage and young adult self-righteous directionless rage, it CARES on a level that's so lost in so many places. It is a game that does not compromise its vision just to be more broadly appealing, because that would mean not giving a ♥♥♥♥, and they REALLY give a ♥♥♥♥. You know, when you explain an idea, the idea fundamentally changes. I've spent my life not really giving a ♥♥♥♥. About how I dress, how I live, how much time I spend exhausted in bed, about what I eat, about what I do with my time, about how living like this is slowly ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ killing me. But UNBEATABLE is inspiring, in just how loud and brash it is. How much it gives a ♥♥♥♥. It makes me want to give a ♥♥♥♥. It makes me want to write a long and dumb review that makes the phrase "give a ♥♥♥♥" stop sounding like words, for one, but it also makes me want to try. To wear bright and cool clothes because ♥♥♥♥ anyone who thinks I should just blend in. It makes me want to make music again, make weirder music, louder music. It makes me want to go see local bands, go make more friends, UNBEATABLE makes me want to CARE. Because it cares just so ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ much that it's infectious, that it makes me want to live. I think once you've played UNBEATABLE, you'll either really like it or you really won't. But either way, you'll give a ♥♥♥♥, and I think that's all it really wants. And the idea changes you in return.
good
this game is a frustratingly recommend from me. if you're here from the white label demo and like the game's ost, then you'd have a much better worth of your money getting the soundtrack on bandcamp. the game's main story mode would be your main appeal in this whole purchase. despite it being a rhythm game, it doesn't provide that many moments of you playing the game's tracks. yeah arcade mode exists purely for that but if they were charted a bit more consistently with more proper rhythm to it, arcade mode would've had more value for me. the white label demo gave me the impression that the entire game would take place in that unique 2 horizontal lane 4 way system. i didn't even mind the game's camera side switching. so it was to my complete surprise that in the main story mode, there was more of those weird brawl sections with vertical 2 lane where the notes goes both up and down towards the center than the actual stuff they showed in the demo. i really wouldn't have minded this gimmick if it had just stayed still and not move every time you hit a note, and there's mashing notes so when those happen its really hard to keep track of your notes in this rhythm game. i get that you're hitting the enemy so they should recoil but it shouldn't overlap with the other enemy's note lanes making it impossible to read them most of the time. so aside from those grievances i would still recommend buying unbeatable. it's a wonderful game with a really compelling story that weirdly enough gets amplified through some of the more janky moments the game has.
Has some pacing issues, but ultimately ended up being one of the best and most heartfelt narrative experiences in any game I've played. Also it's a banging ALBUM. that comes with a free video game. It's peak.
I could probably write an entire essay about this game. One that I would title: "The Absolute Dumpster Fire I Loved". UNBEATABLE is hard to quantify. Honestly speaking, it has tons of bugs and small issues, and the story and pacing honestly is pretty terrible for the first 75% of the game. But this might be the first time I can recall that that last 25% completely made the journey worth it. The story manages to completely justify itself, the art is wholly amazing from beginning to end, and the music strikes an excellent balance for a specific audience who really needs it. In a world where media is growing standardized and soulless, this travesty held together by duct tape made me feel something remarkable. Enough that I kept going back to it to play the arcade mode purely to immerse myself in it more. This game is not for everyone, and it's not for anyone who's "just looking for a good time" because it is not that. This game is for people who love art, no matter how broken it is.
a beautiful game where music's illegal and you do crime
