4/10 – I had really high expectations for UEBS 2, but it ended up being a disappointing experience. Almost everything I was hoping wouldn’t be in the game ended up being there. The character models look very unrealistic, making battles less immersive, and the menus are confusing and difficult to navigate. Creating and downloading mods is also much more complicated than it should be, which hurts one of the game’s biggest selling points. On top of that, the game no longer receives meaningful updates, so it feels abandoned. Overall, UEBS 2 had a lot of potential, but it failed to live up to my expectations. If you’re looking for a good battle simulator, I’d recommend Totally Accurate Battle Simulator (TABS) or Animal Revolt Battle Simulator (ARBS) instead.

This is a real fun game where you are able to use the base set entities or use the mod catalog to download entities or custom maps into your game. You must close your game and reopen the application for any new mods that has been downloaded to be utilized into your games. The battles can be quite intense and with a really good PC build or specs, you are able to display thousands to millions of units into clean to complex maps. You are able to use RTS (Real-Time Strategy) if you want to do custom pathways for Ai and have them pick up what you wish for them to do... though it can take some time for that to occur. You can possess units, one at a time, and act in this massive war. As you are building the war, you will get real-time updates on if your computer may be able to produce the war so it helps knowing your limitations instead of it being trial and error. Highly recommend!
