Reviews
Definitely lacking in comparison to the first one in terms of Mods and lacks useful features like fast forwarding... and as other comments suggest it does seem abandoned overall, AI has alot of trouble pathing as well ex. you have 1M zombies trying to fight a force of 2,500 marines, theyll space out alot and some units will just freeze far back and block the rest from continuing forward. It really feels as though the game lacks updates and support compared to the original, its still fun for a time killer (a long time killer as theres no FF function so each battle takes FOREVER). But it could definitely use some new features that were part of the original. Unit customization also tends to just completely break the game as trying to increase basic unit ranges by even a small margine will cause them to just not work at all.

tabs but better
TLDR: Better than UEBS1, but lacks significant improvements and still ultimately feels like a gimmick.

PROS:
➕Workshop mods integration ➕More god powers ➕Seems to run better with more units
NEUTRALS:
🔹No achievements
CONS:
➖Placing units is still cumbersome ➖Still feels gimmicky and shallow My review for Ultimate Epic Battle Simulator 1
Final Verdict – [5/10]
For the vast majority of all areas, I would direct you to my review for Ultimate Epic Battle Simulator (UEBS) 1. UEBS 2 has improvements over 1, but nothing massive that deserves a full review. The biggest improvements seem to be that the game runs better with more units, AI seems better, more fun god powers, and there’s a few more audio tracks (with good music). But beyond some background improvements, it’s still the same shallow sandbox that depends on simple unit stats to determine the outcome. As if the gimmick doesn’t wear off enough, from what I can tell, the game seems abandoned - maybe there’s a UEBS3 being worked on, I don’t know, but UEBS2 could definitely use some improvements. Things like the issue of unit placement is still atrocious is begging for improvements. Also, I would absolutely love to be able to import pre-made battles. It would be cool that instead of the mods only being new units and maps, that if I could click a button and import an entire D-Day setup, or maybe like a pre-made Walking Dead battle? Unit placement can get tedious when you have 10+ armies, so I’d love to experiment with other users creations. Overall, I cannot recommend UEBS2. Yes, it’s improved over UEBS1, but that just makes UEBS1 the worse version. This feels like an early access title that has the barest minimum of upgrades over the first game.
Recommend? (Price) [Y/N]

No
Base price of $20 is a strong against. Highly suggest waiting for a sale - $4 historical low is much better. I used to love this game although i am utterly dissapointed with this game at this time ,when i bought it i thought this would be a massive upgrade from the first using a lot of mechanics they had and i had hoped in time the RTS would Improve and this game would be the best in the industry, in my opinion this game has pros and cons Pros: armies can be massive 3 mil per team ran on my i5 13600k & 3060 great (4 teams) mods maps through mods some returning maps & units some of the god powers are cool like nuke(retuning) tornado & tsunami cons: you cant speed up or slow down gameplay (ya could in the first). RTS mode was never improved so it feels like a very basic RTS you have to higlight the units and click the to go in one direction, cannot split units into seperate groups (ya could in the fist game) no new castle maps most maps are wide open (good for big batles though) honestly i would give this game a 6/10 its just above average only because they didnt commit to doing more with it,honestly this game has crazy amount of potential and i hope they do more with it
