UFO 50 is a collection of 50 single and multiplayer games that span a variety of genres, from platformers and shoot 'em ups to puzzle games, roguelites, and RPGs. Our goal is to combine a familiar 8-bit aesthetic with new ideas and modern game design.
Modeled estimate, not a reported figure. How we estimate →
Prices
The United States storefront in every case, so this compares stores and not countries.
Prices
Each in the currency that store quoted — not converted: the gap between two rows is the publisher's pricing, not an exchange rate.
14 of 15 markets; the rest we haven't asked for this title, not markets where it is unavailable.
Availability
We put this game to every storefront we collect. A market that answered not sold has told us something about the game; a market we never asked has not, and the two are never drawn the same.
Charts
Each storefront's own chart, in its own country — the closest public signal to sales where none is published. A country missing from a list is one we don't collect there, not one where the game doesn't chart.
No United States chart position — it charts only in the markets below.
Discounts
Every price cut of more than 20% we have observed, in each market that quoted one, with this game's chart position on either side of it. These are episodes, not a model: a sale is one event, and one event cannot tell you what the next one will do.
Reviews, worldwide (the counter carries no country): 1.57/day in the week to Aug 28 → 2/day in the week after.
For scale, across Steam · Top Sellers · Poland over the last 30 days: the 21 chart moves that followed a price cut of more than 20% went a median of 12 places towards #1, and the 2,501 moves with no price cut behind them went 1 away. One store, one chart, one country — it is the only place we have enough observations to say even that.
Prices outside the United States have been collected since 6 August 2026 and chart positions since 19 July 2026, so a cut older than that has no market to compare and a market that joined later has no history yet. Nothing here is converted between currencies.
About

Add-ons
Each DLC is estimated with the same model as a game, then summed — a modeled figure, not reported DLC sales.
Sums Steam only; Nintendo publishes no volume signal, so the true total is higher by an unknown amount.

Matched by title — a reused name can pair the wrong games. * is a critic aggregate. Prices and positions are each store's United States storefront; Epic charts worldwide. Audience and Score too, except Steam's, which is worldwide.
Updates
Build ids and update times come straight from Steam's PICS — the same source SteamDB reads. Patch history grows as we record new builds.

Reviews
the way the games contained in this collection truly bring to mind the early days of the industry while innovating heavily at the same time is nothing short of a masterwork, you might not even find one game you're in love with but just a taste of the dedication to this title is worth experiencing if you like any old games.
This really is something special. I think one of my favourite things surrounding any discussion of this game is that two people will usually have pretty different top 5s, which just goes to show you how much this team absolutely knocked it out of the park in the crazy multitude of different genres they tackled here. They inevitably can't all be winners (I have yet to see someone say anything good about Barbuta other than "oh it's the first one it's novel") and I do wish they'd just allowed themselves the usage of more than 2 face buttons (some games particularly I think would have really benefitted from this) but this doesn't prevent this being a triumph in terms of its sheer success ratio. Even just playing through the Metroidvania of the collection (a genre I don't even like that much!!) I was like "wow, this is so good." I genuinely felt compelled to keep playing; I could tell the scope of the game was a little smaller than most of its ilk, which led me to just playing for hours at a time because the smaller levels made the backtracking feel not really very annoying at all! I loved the ideas at work here with how you can use the upgrades in different ways! The graphics are really nice! The soundtrack is good! And this is just one game of 50!! Bushido Ball could genuinely be an eSport! I don't even like sports games but I want to get all my friends playing this!! THIS IS ONE GAME OF FIFTY!! I'm gushing about two games that I can think of that are great off the top of my head, but there is an unbelievable amount here to experience pretty much regardless of what your taste is; there's a couple of schmups, a beat-em-up, a platform fighter, puzzle games, a roguelike deckbuilder, a JRPG, and everything in between and beyond. Wow, man.

14 on sale1 answered “not sold”0 we did not ask
The 1 “not sold” market is read from the Steam price pass of Aug 22: that day the store answered for this game elsewhere and gave no price there. The 14 priced markets are the same rows as the table above — each the latest price we hold, dated here when it is older than that pass. The 0 marked “not asked” were not put to this store at all — either it has no storefront there or we do not collect it yet, and neither is a statement about the game. A refusal is a refusal on one day; a store can list a title again tomorrow.

Runs amazing on the SD and you can tell how much work the devs put into every game. Has tons of charm and all genres from the era. Unfortunately I only enjoyed 2-3 of the games. Still absolutely worth the $18.
honestly some of these games on thier own would be well worth the money, i can garuntee you that you will find at least 5 really good games in this collection that will appeal to you
