Great recommendation for any Ace Attorney fan, a good set of 5 cases that (mostly) hold a solid logic that you can figure out with a nice level of difficulty. Pros: - Great gameplay gimmicks, any that copies the emotion mechanic from Dual Destinies gets a big plus from me - The enviroment art definitely sells every scene, a lot of good details - The main story and most importantly, last case kept me intrigued until the last bits Cons (mostly nitpicks) - A large lack of random optional dialogue, felt like there could have been a lot more fluff in examining scenes and presenting random evidence to characters. Was disappointed to see that the "Detect magic" was not used for any fun gags about misuse of magic in the setting. - The main characters design is a little bland, he has no unique visual design like Phoenix had his weird hairdo - A lot of the characters feel a bit too...normal, if we are comparing to Ace Attorney, they definitely lack that quirkiness i always loved from that series, but thats just me comparing different writing styles - Some lapses in logic made me a bit frustarated, the questions asked are too broad or vague for me to understand what exactly the game wants me to present - Evidence overall could have used some rewrites, many pieces have paragraphs of info, meaning its hard to glean what fact its exactly for. The descriptions to evidence could have been made shorter and maybe the game should have at points removed evidence that was no longer relevant to the case

I never played the AA games, I saw a friend posting about this game and showed interest in it. They gifted me the game and I fell head over heels for this games story. 10/10 Celeste is best girl. Made me wanna finally play the AA games and I will be THERE when the sequel releases.

What an absolute gem! You can feel the passion and love that was put into this game by not only the developer, but everyone involved in the making of it. Case 4 and 5 have some of the best scenes I've witnessed in all of fiction. 100% this game is a must play. There are some moments where the writing could've been better, but nobody is perfect. A perfect homage to one of the greatest visual novel series of all time (Ace Attorney). Excited for the sequel and all that it may bring!

A very faithful iteration on the Ace Attorney formula, with a unique twist in the form of Dungeons and Dragons-inspired magic/artificery elements that keep the cases fresh. There's a solid amount of gameplay in the package for a game of this sort, too. if you like Phoenix Wright, you'll definitely like this game.
