About
This is Tyr, a tank shooter where positioning, strategic decision-making, and mastery of unique abilities win.
Tyr features a roster of specialized armored vehicles and pilots. You’ll take control of treaded and hover tanks alike as you angle & position for defense, and rumble and glide across the battlefield.
Each vehicle also offers its own tech tree and ammo & component slots, affording you the ability to upgrade and evolve your ride to suit your playstyle. You may even be able to change up your vehicle’s unique keystone tech to dynamically alter your personal meta.
Each vehicle features a unique power that impacts Tyr’s moment-to-moment play on the battlefield. A tank may have the ability to blink several vehicle lengths forward or back, send out a sonar pulse to spot enemies, or overcharge its engine to ram directly into an opponent and deal massive damage.
In Tyr, you and your opponents will only be visible when within range or while making enough noise. Deciding when to push forward and when to fire from cover could mean the difference between staying hidden and revealing your position to the entire enemy team, so play carefully.
Tyr will test your mental mettle, patience, and teamwork, as deliberate play beats whoever can fire the fastest.

Strategy beats twitch reflexes - Run and gun gameplay gets punished by careful positioning and slow, deliberately placed shots to disable enemies

Already best tank shooter out there.
"Slow" and "methodical" game play means "Watch your team hide in a bush for 15 minutes". With no respawn credit system, gameplay revolving around hiding in bushes so you are invisible, and queue times taking about 6 minutes per match, this game has nailed the "slow" but has very little idea what "methodical" means. The game's already heavily timegated with absurdly powerful tanks locked behind lootbox style rewards or hundreds of matches per tank. The game will put you, as a new player, in lobbies with these tanks and players that have already spent weeks of their time in beta tests to "grind" out all the good stuff so that they can be rewarded for their free bug hunting by feeling powerful and one-shotting you. One great example, I go in with one of the free tanks, "Ark". It is listed as maximum fire power. It shoots a single shell every 8 seconds for an average of about 250 damage (definitely got the "slow" part of the gameplay down). It's my second game. Out of the 8v8 starting team size, it's down to a 6v1. Me and 4 other players make our way to the capture site, which is the game's way of preventing stall-out games because they know the entire gameplay loop is "hide". Four of us are machinegunned down by a single tank shooting a 400 damage round every 1.5 seconds with seemingly no reload necessary. It took all five of us hitting him one or two times over the course of 15 seconds to destroy him, while he took out five players with full auto. The only positives I have to say about the game are the tutorial is straight forward and clear, and the visuals of how the game portrays armor vs your penetration are intuitive. But the map looks terrible, the bushes that are the only actual gameplay mechanic present look like asset flips, and the tanks have very little in terms of defining features outside of "that's a heavy tank with squares on it, and this is a heavy tank with rounded edges on it", especially for new players once you introduce the cosmetics that completely change the tank appearance so that now the heavy tanks are indistinguishable from the bushes they're sitting invisible in. It's just straight up not fun, and it's exactly the type of lazy, cash-grab power fantasy PvP game that needs to die off. It's made for the people who were beta testing, and the people who want to sit through weeks of 5 minutes queues and 15 minutes of hide and seek. It's Early Access with a paid in-game currency, which should tell you all you need to know.

Super fun game, easy to spend hours on. Tons of different tanks for different playstyles.
Super Solid game lots of potential! Awesome that its free to play! Like if World of Tanks and Hero Shooters had a baby that was not pay to win.
Valorant WoT Blitz, very fun
Good progression. It's all free and fair. Fun with friends. I just wish there was an in-game text chat.
Really enjoyable so far. Doesn't take too long to unlock new tanks ans leveling up. Easy to pick up, hard to master
bush tactics
Easy to jump into free game with solid mechanics that can be picked up on easily, also only 4 GB definitely worth a try.
