About
This is Tyr, a tank shooter where positioning, strategic decision-making, and mastery of unique abilities win.
Tyr features a roster of specialized armored vehicles and pilots. You’ll take control of treaded and hover tanks alike as you angle & position for defense, and rumble and glide across the battlefield.
Each vehicle also offers its own tech tree and ammo & component slots, affording you the ability to upgrade and evolve your ride to suit your playstyle. You may even be able to change up your vehicle’s unique keystone tech to dynamically alter your personal meta.
Each vehicle features a unique power that impacts Tyr’s moment-to-moment play on the battlefield. A tank may have the ability to blink several vehicle lengths forward or back, send out a sonar pulse to spot enemies, or overcharge its engine to ram directly into an opponent and deal massive damage.
In Tyr, you and your opponents will only be visible when within range or while making enough noise. Deciding when to push forward and when to fire from cover could mean the difference between staying hidden and revealing your position to the entire enemy team, so play carefully.
Tyr will test your mental mettle, patience, and teamwork, as deliberate play beats whoever can fire the fastest.

Honestly I'm not big into PvP overall anymore these days, but Tyr is one of the most relaxing team based pvp games I've ever played. The tanks are all different and fun, and while I don't personally understand how to properly utilize them all others definitely do. The dev team is communicative. I'd like a bit more in the communication to the team in the games but overall I find the lack of built in text and voice chat to actually be a plus.

It's probably the best game in the genre
Game is fun to play, well balanced (a wide variety of tanks each game), and each tank feels VERY distinct from one another. Am low-key addicted right now.
Plays great! Works in Linux. Simple gameplay with deep skillset, progress and customization. I wish it had voice coms, but I understand there's legal issues these days. So give it a try! It's free!
WoT but no premium time, premium tanks, gold ammo, crew training, and most importantly of all for me no artillery. Not just no artillery right now, they are committed to never adding arty. A freemium tank game that actually respects your time, you unlock everything for free all you have to do is play, depending on how you preform will have all the tanks unlocked somewhere between 20 to 30 hours of game time. If you can get past the fact these are fictional tanks and very particular art style this game does it better than a game that has been around for close to 20 years.
Tanki Online mixed with World of Tanks and Valorant. Pretty fun.
