About
This is Tyr, a tank shooter where positioning, strategic decision-making, and mastery of unique abilities win.
Tyr features a roster of specialized armored vehicles and pilots. You’ll take control of treaded and hover tanks alike as you angle & position for defense, and rumble and glide across the battlefield.
Each vehicle also offers its own tech tree and ammo & component slots, affording you the ability to upgrade and evolve your ride to suit your playstyle. You may even be able to change up your vehicle’s unique keystone tech to dynamically alter your personal meta.
Each vehicle features a unique power that impacts Tyr’s moment-to-moment play on the battlefield. A tank may have the ability to blink several vehicle lengths forward or back, send out a sonar pulse to spot enemies, or overcharge its engine to ram directly into an opponent and deal massive damage.
In Tyr, you and your opponents will only be visible when within range or while making enough noise. Deciding when to push forward and when to fire from cover could mean the difference between staying hidden and revealing your position to the entire enemy team, so play carefully.
Tyr will test your mental mettle, patience, and teamwork, as deliberate play beats whoever can fire the fastest.

Don't bring a knife to a knife fight, bring a gun. Don't bring a gun to a gun fight, bring a tank. Don't go to tank fights (unless you're not afraid to have fun).
if world of tanks was a good game
This game is insanely good as someone who doesn't normally play tank games. Casual yet strategic. The vision system is awesome. Powers are cool (More support tanks would be awesome). Valor represent.

I really like both the hero shooter elements as well as the many QoL features this game has over other more "realistic" tank games. One of the largest boons for me is that you can not be one shot. (though you can still die in mere seconds) The only major QoL feature the game is missing is the ability to communicate with voice or text. It is only pings and discord. And a smaller QoL feature I hope gets added is a "continue playing" or requeue button for when you die.
Good casual fun.
The gameplay is fine but this is one of those games that you git gut or git fukd, no in betweens. 2.5 hour is enough. There is no such thing as casual pvp, you will get stomped. If you're pve adjactent then this game is absolutely not for you.
Quick gameplay, arcade-y, easy to jump in and out of, with a wide variety of tank types and abilities to keep things interesting. The first tank game to hold my attention for more than a couple hours. Didn't experience any performance issues despite my older hardware, though admittedly I usually default to medium settings anyways.
Really a great tank game.
I HATE tank games. I had quite a miserable time with games like WoT. The monitization model, playable tank limits and tier trees combined into a frustrating experience. Tyr doesn't suffer from that. While unlocking a new tank might take some time, the tanks they start you with are some of the best in the game. All tanks are quite viable and they are generally balanced as of this point of review in early access. The hero shooter abilities and roles are also really fun and flavourful to use. Did I also mention I HATE hero shooters? I'm one of those players who likes playing support in games, such as the healer or the tank. While there is a semblance of roles in Tyr, such as a healer tank or a scout, it is not a strict role and all tanks are good at damage. While certain maps and situations will be easier with roles filled, just playing what you want works too. The build system also allows enough freedom that you can break the mold a bit on a tank chassis too. I totally expect the monization to get worse as time goes one but as of now, it is a very solid title. Generally, I am not a fan of either of these genres. I write this review because Tyr is the rare double exception for me.
ABSOLUTELY NOT. this game is a paradise catering to the absolute worst scum of any PVP game. CAMPERS. you wanna win? sit in a bush 1000 miles from anybody and absolutely dominate anyone stupid enough to not sit in a bush. you cant hit what u cant see. fire right exactly where they are and u still miss because you cant see. this game is built for the most toxic people in PVP games. if your a toxic POS then DOWNLOAD NOW because this is your heaven. if your remotely decent as a human then avoid it. ive seen campers in every game but they have never had a game built so well to give them the kind of godlike power as they do right here. not even fun when u get sniped by 3 different people at the same time that u cant see and cant kill at all each match.
