About
Type your fate. Arm yourself with your keyboard and your wits, and try to escape from the abandoned house where you are. Unfortunately, you won't be alone...
Type Your Fate is an 'old school' style text-based interactive fiction game in which you will have to do everything using a command console, from moving to interacting with the things around you (just like the mythic 1980s Infocom's Zork games but with illustrations and sound).
What about an entirely, lonely, and abandoned house with a maniac assassin inside? You will have to find the numbers of the exit door's code and escape before assassin finds you, But be silence and be quick because he is chasing you all the time even when you stand in the same place without doing anything.

You will need to give commands to the game console so you can move among rooms, check interactive objects, and interact with key items or events. You must be quick and silent, but you must decide wisely too. You must priorize your actions so you can escape!

- Totally immersive experience: Experience a terrifying atmosphere that will make you feel as if you were in that abandoned house yourself.
- Mystery: Investigate and explore an abandoned house with up to 17 different rooms to unravel its hidden mysteries.
- The different faces of evil: Up to four different murderers will try to end your life. Don't allow it.
- Greater interaction: Up to 68 different interactive objects distributed throughout all the rooms.
- Endless Challenges: Randomly generated trivia and math challenges.
- Replayability: Each game is different. The main entrance door code will never be the same, the hint devices will never be in the same place, even the killer can change.
- True retro experience and challenging difficulty: Just like in the games of the 80s you will not have at your disposal any comfort that there is now. You will not have complex tutorials, you will not be able to save the game, you will not be able to use the mouse or the gamepad, and even if you want to adjust the sound volume or the difficulty of the game you will have to do it from the command line as it was done back then. Did I mention That in those days after a Game Over you had to start the game from the beginning?
- Customization: The multimedia resources are available for your own modifications. Change the assassin voice, their faces, the sound effects, the background music, even change the rooms and their animations.
I am fully aware that not everyone is going to like this proposal or the experience that Type Your Fate can offer you. That's why, as a player rather than a developer, I highly recommend you try the demo before purchasing the game. If after trying the demo you like the experience then go ahead, and if not, then don't buy this game.
I would like to reserve this small section to dedicate a few words to Troki. For me, Troki was much more than a dog, he was a faithful companion, my best friend and another member of my family. Without his love and company, projects like this would never have been possible. If there is a heaven for dogs I hope Troki is in it. Thanks for all these years. For Troki.

Type Your Fate is a unique blend of interactive storytelling and typing mechanics, where the player's decisions shape the outcome of the narrative. Each choice is made by typing specific words or phrases, and these inputs directly influence the direction of the story. In this game you wake up in an abandoned house where your goal is to find the password and key to escape the house in which a killer is trying to kill you. Its basically a game for him if you are smart enough you live if you are dump you die. While playing you get to explore the house with various in game command and directions like north, south, east, west for direction in the house and entity object which some of them hides the key and password total 9 password which you need to check and inspect to get outside the house all this to avoid the killer. Important aside from game tutorial make sure to check the game steam community post there the tips and tutorials which actually guide you the game mechanics and rules. Specially when killer in your room and you choose to hide by typing hide command he plays dice and if he gets six you die if not you live so its better advice to just avoid him by running outside the room in which the killer is. Some useful tips for you is Electrocardiogram understanding is very important, Blue is 3 or more rooms far away, Green two rooms, Yellow one room, And red same room, Then you get in red but you have a free seconds go run away, Typing North or another direction. Try not to hide much or use it as last resource running and changing rooms is more better 👏👍 If you love horror games then this game will give you thrill, fun and creepy laugh all in one package. Did i mentioned the game sound and music is awesome well give it a try and see it for yourself 👏

Type Your Fate is a cool mix of retro text-based gameplay and horror. You explore a spooky house, solve puzzles, and try to escape before the killer catches you. It’s challenging, with great elements that keep things fresh every time you play. If you like old-school games and don't mind a tough experience, it’s definitely worth a shot. Perfect for horror fans who enjoy a bit of nostalgia!
A really enjoyable game! It is quite simple and plain, but despite this, it is incredibly fun In the game, you need to write fast while escaping from the killer and you need to hide it at the right time. The music really adds a lot of atmosphere to the game, you really feel like you are in the game while playing the game, you really feel like you are in the game while trying to escape from the killer, that excitement is very beautiful, those who love this kind of games will never be unhappy, I recommend it to everyone.
*Type Your Fate*, developed and published by Zollkron, presents a fresh take on the text-based horror adventure genre, combining nostalgic interactive fiction elements with a modern, tense atmosphere. Released in early access in 2024, the game plunges players into the unsettling challenge of escaping an abandoned house while being relentlessly pursued by a mysterious assassin. The core experience revolves around exploration, puzzle-solving, and quick decision-making, with a strong emphasis on player agency through typed commands that evoke the feel of classic text adventures but with updated storytelling and audiovisual support. Players navigate through a house consisting of up to seventeen rooms, each filled with obstacles, clues, and puzzles that must be solved to uncover the exit code and make a successful escape. The gameplay demands attentiveness and fast thinking, as the assassin’s presence looms constantly, creating a thrilling tension that drives the pace forward. This sense of imminent danger is amplified by the lack of modern conveniences such as save points, meaning every choice carries weight, and mistakes can be costly. The game further enhances replayability through randomized room layouts, varying puzzle challenges, and shifting assassin behavior, ensuring that no two playthroughs feel identical. Visually, *Type Your Fate* opts for a minimalist style that leans on atmospheric illustrations and simple animations to paint the eerie environment. While the graphics are not flashy or highly detailed, they serve their purpose well, reinforcing the feeling of isolation and dread inherent in the narrative. The audio design complements this with ambient sounds and sudden, unnerving cues that heighten the suspense and immersion, successfully building an unsettling mood despite the game’s pared-down presentation. This blend of visuals and sound works hand-in-hand to create an evocative horror experience that relies more on psychological tension than on jump scares or flashy effects. The reception among players has been largely positive, with many praising the game’s clever integration of traditional text-based mechanics with a modern horror twist. The challenging puzzles, engaging narrative, and the constant threat posed by the assassin keep players invested and on edge. However, some have noted technical hiccups such as occasional crashes or performance slowdowns, which the developer has acknowledged and is actively addressing through updates. This responsiveness to community feedback bodes well for the game’s continued polish and growth during its early access phase. Performance-wise, *Type Your Fate* runs smoothly on Windows and Linux systems with modest hardware requirements, making it accessible to a broad audience. The game also supports play on the Steam Deck, allowing players to enjoy the tense, immersive experience on the go. The developer’s ongoing commitment to refining the game based on player input highlights a dedication to crafting a polished, satisfying horror adventure that honors its text-based roots while delivering a fresh and engaging experience. In summary, *Type Your Fate* stands out as a thoughtfully designed horror game that marries the charm and depth of classic interactive fiction with modern gameplay sensibilities. Its combination of strategic puzzle-solving, atmospheric storytelling, and relentless suspense offers a compelling challenge for fans of the genre. Although still in early access and subject to some technical rough edges, the game’s evolving nature and the developer’s active engagement with the community suggest it has strong potential to become a standout title for those seeking a nostalgic yet novel horror adventure. lo he jugado durante una hora y ya tengo ganas de más.
A really fun type-esque horror game with an amazing sound tracks. It was my first time playing a game like this and I enjoyed every bit of it
