Tunnet

An atmospheric exploration and networking game where you build a network to reconnect a subterranean community of robots. You spend your time locating nodes, creating networks, and trying to connect users and servers to where they need to be connected with the limited resources at your disposal. Tunnet shares the low-poly aesthetic of many indie horror titles, but largely shuns the adrenaline-soaked horror approach for a more measured and creeping sense of isolation and dread. I personally found the game genuinely unnerving at times. (To be clear, there are *some* jumpscare-esque moments, and a few enemies that stalk you, but the majority of the experience isn't focused on them.) At the time of this review, Tunnet is priced at $5.99 US, and is a complete steal for the experience you receive. If anything I've mentioned here is even of passing interest to you, do yourself a favor and pick this one up. It's worth it.

Lot's of fun, loved it, has got plenty of depth (do wish it went a bit deeper at times), but absolutely loved making my own networks and optimising them (with a best speed of 300~KB/s), with seeing all the packets go down lines one way (as I made ring topologies) and all the different coloured lines on my map side by side or diverging and converging. Sometimes spent bashing my head against whether I didn't understand the profession I'm in, or I just encountered a niche bug. I think my only gripe is I wish there was more infrastructure that you could build, like dedicated lightsources or panels to decorate the tunnels and make it feel like an expanse. interconnected bunker.
