I'm sure the game is quite fun and all. But, I'm not one for the silent protagonist, no direction, no story, etc. sort of gameplay. Tried it with Hyper Light Drifter, and I only completed that game because I backed it. Had I known TUNIC was built upon a similar structure, I wouldn't have bought it. It's just not my cup of tea. I can't say anything reasonably bad about the game otherwise. I'm sure it's quite good.
Un jeu unique dans son approche "méta" du jeu vidéo. Je recommande chaudement. En apparence il adopte beaucoup de codes du jeu d'aventure de l'époque des consoles 1990-2000, avec beaucoup d'emprunts à Zelda. L'exploration de la très belle carte est agréable, les musiques sont excellentes, les combats sont bons sans être insurmontables de difficulté et la progression est satisfaisante. Le jeu fait toutefois plus que reproduire à merveille les codes d'un bon jeu de l'époque. Il adopte une approche "méta", qui transcende les codes du jeu vidéo : le jeu ne nous donne aucun élément de compréhension au début, tout sera découvert au fur et à mesure à travers les pages d'un "livret de jeu" parsemées sur la carte. La carte justement est un modèle du genre. Le fait de découvrir une nouvelle mécanique toutes les 2-3 heures nous pousse constamment à la reparcourir avec un œil nouveau. Elle regorge de tellement de secrets si simples à trouver lorsqu'on a l'astuce - la subtilité étant que l'astuce en question est souvent loin d'être évidente au premier abord. D'un point de vue énigme, le jeu contient sans doute l'une des plus emblématiques de tous les jeux vidéo (carrément), qui ne sera très souvent qu'entamée après avoir fini le jeu. Tout n'est pas parfait malheureusement. Sans spoiler, une mécanique découverte tardivement dans le jeu est - tout en étant incroyablement bien trouvée - un peu trop opaque et un peu buggué selon moi. Et d'un point de vue purement personnel, avoir été forcé de comprendre la langue inventée par le jeu (ou aller chercher des traductions en ligne) pour accéder à quelques énigmes de fin de jeu ne m'a pas trop plu. Mais je pense que cela peut plaire à certains, et cela reste très anecdotique dans la mesure où il est possible de faire 95% du jeu sans comprendre la langue. Bref, un excellent jeu. Unique et exceptionnel, je recommande.
What a game, i love the lore and gameplay
TUNIC es un juego de acción y aventura desafiante sin complejos, encantador, con múltiples capas y enormemente gratificante de resolver.
Tunic is such a good game. If you're the type of person who likes to think outside of the box you'll love it. It reminds me of the Witness but with much more combat.
