TROUBLESHOOTER: Abandoned Children is the first season of a turn-based strategy SRPG that takes place in the world of Troubleshooter.

Valhalla is a free trading nation erected by three world powers for their own benefits after the world war. In an attempt to control the nation, the three world powers banned the army from Valhalla. Due to these circumstances, public order in Valhalla is always unstable and thus after ten years the Valhalla government made a bold decision.
The Valhalla government granted civilians the right to investigate and arrest criminals in order to lower the rising crime rate. People call them Troubleshooter.
10 years have passed since the introduction of the troubleshooter system. Albus, a 20-year-old young man, becomes an official troubleshooter. Albus first starts his company on his own but soon takes in many colleagues as he solves more cases. All these new members of the company have their own motivations and stories. You will be experiencing a variety of missions in Valhalla through their stories.

All characters in Troubleshooter have their own unique classes. Each character can rank up to the upper class, and the role of your character changes according to the class.
All characters in Troubleshooter can acquire various masteries according to their levels and classes. Furthermore, you can activate additional effects by combinations of masteries. Utilizing this, you can make a character for your unique strategy.
Such masteries can be acquired by leveling your character up. However, in most cases, you can acquire masteries from enemies. In other words, you can take your enemies' unique traits and apply them to your characters.
There are more than 100 unique missions in Troubleshooter. All missions are designed independently, and all of them have their own unique circumstances.
Troubleshooter uses more than 500 cut scenes to portray the story.
As new characters join your company, playable content will be unlocked according to their roles. For example, if you recruit a hunter character, you will be able to tame beasts. You will be able to craft drones if you recruit engineers.

Been playing this game a long time. Its long and has ton of content. I'm always a fan of tactics games and this is high up there as far as i'm concerned.
One of the better tactical games in the genre. It's made with a lot of heart and has been expanded how many times for free.

For scale, across Steam · Top Sellers · Brazil over the last 30 days: the 23 chart moves that followed a price cut of more than 20% went a median of 14 places towards #1, and the 2,515 moves with no price cut behind them went 2 away. One store, one chart, one country — it is the only place we have enough observations to say even that.
Prices outside the United States have been collected since 6 August 2026 and chart positions since 19 July 2026, so a cut older than that has no market to compare and a market that joined later has no history yet. Nothing here is converted between currencies.

Fun turn base game with a solid story. The mastery system take a min to get used to. Forsho you do have to grind.
If you're a fan of XCOM style games you will like this game. It also has a very rich upgrade system for gears, abilities etc. I'm thoroughly pleased with it.
The question is: Would I recommend this game? I think for most people the answer is no, but the game isn't bad per se. The story of this game feels like being dropped into season 10 of a convoluted and poorly translated anime that you've never seen before, and 40 hours later that feeling never changed. The gameplay is equally complex and layered but similarly held back by the localization. I want to like this game so badly but I cannot care about anything that's happening. Perhaps this game makes more sense in Korean, in-fact I'm sure it does, but that's not the experience I got. The drawn art is good, but graphically the game is frankly very dated looking. The music is great. I get the impression that the developers are passionate about their work and it shows in the game, but it's not recommendable to anyone but the most forgiving and patient TRPG-obsessed players.
This is one of the best turn-based tactics games out there. The story is good, the characters intriguing and nuanced and actually show character development. The tactical elements start out relatively easy, but you quickly unlock more tools and alongside your tools the enemies grow. And in order to defeat them you need to make use of the tools you acquired, changing the strategy to suit the indiviual challenge. Very good game
It's a great game if you like XCOM-like strategy game, RPGs, stories of heroes and anti-heroes in a violent city, and animes visuals. The game have a lot of content, a long main story, and the strategic gameplay is solid. For that, I leave a positive review. The amount and the quality of work made by the devs is incredible. But, it's not a game for everyone. The game is full of micro management. For one characters, you must managed a lot of equipement pieces + navigate and chose through a ton of masteries (passive skills) + abilities (active skills). Each mission give you too many pieces of loots, a lot of them in often useless, you must identify them to be sure what is good or not, them sell them or scrap them for crafting. Later in the game, you unlock the beasts, each one with the same level of managing complexity than a main character. Same with the robots after that. It's sometimes tedious. This game want to give players a lot of things to do, and I respect that, but it's too much. Too many little things to do, too many resources, too many user interfaces to explore between each mission. I spend more time in management than in playing, actually, and it's not a good thing, except if you love managing things and min/max stats. If you have the time, and the patience, it's a really good game, go for it. If not, don't try it, you will be overwhelmed.
I read somewhere that someone reacted against spoonage, that it's silly. Yeah, well. Isn't extreme religion always silly? Isn't that why they want to cut heads off and toss people off buildings? They're kinda weird. You can believe in a thrice parted divinity that's dead and yet resurrected and living nonetheless and partly makes ppl talk funny. Or a god that's part of a plethora of animal spirits. Or anything you like, maybe your toaster is a god? Or a spoon. Stranger things have happened in history. Gameplay is pretty straightforward. What you're going for here is the slowly developing background, the story, the worldbuilding. It comes in inches. And there's a lot of mechanical fighting inbetween. But the story is worth it, in the end. Edit: I admit I still think the story is a little dorky, but it quite has its moments! Sometimes it really grips you! Especially when it wanders a little into the darker aspects of the world, like the abandoned children in the title. And still I enjoy the grind, at 108 hrs when writing this. Completionist so double back a lot, not rushing through anything. Relaxation game. Just go through all the fights, enjoy the great art, enjoy the story. Edit again: As you progress (slowly) over the story, it becomes more acute, more real, more grabbing. This is really about abandoned children. And as you realize that and delve deeper into various characters' (and villains') backstories you come to appreciate the world building more and more. Hidden gem!
it's a really fun game, if you like tactical games with a lot of customisation, and grind to get the best stuff.
