Triangle is a retro-style role-playing adventure developed and published by Red Triangle Games that embraces classic RPG design while building a world filled with eccentric humor, unusual characters, and imaginative storytelling. Inspired by the spirit of older role-playing games, it delivers a lengthy journey centered on exploration, turn-based combat, and character-driven progression. Although its visuals and presentation are intentionally simple, the game compensates with creativity, personality, and a genuine appreciation for the genre's traditional foundations. The story follows Mr. Triangle, an unlikely hero who finds himself facing a growing threat to his world after a series of dangerous events involving a mysterious alien force known as the Mastermind of Evil. What begins as a seemingly lighthearted adventure gradually develops into a larger quest involving ancient secrets, powerful enemies, and the fate of an entire planet. The narrative maintains a balance between comedy and heroism, allowing the game to remain entertaining without completely abandoning dramatic moments. This mixture gives the story a unique tone that feels both playful and adventurous. One of the game's most memorable qualities is its cast of characters. Throughout the journey, Mr. Triangle is joined by a collection of companions who are as unusual as the world they inhabit. From an intelligent ape to a magician alligator and even a rocket-powered manatee, the party lineup is deliberately unconventional. These characters are not merely included for comedic effect; they play important roles in both the narrative and gameplay. Their personalities help bring life to the world, while their unique abilities encourage players to utilize different strategies during battles and exploration. The game's setting is equally imaginative. Rather than relying on familiar fantasy tropes, Triangle creates a universe where bizarre creatures, strange technology, and absurd situations coexist naturally. Players encounter mutated vegetables, oddball enemies, and unexpected locations that continually reinforce the game's quirky identity. This unpredictability keeps exploration engaging because every new area introduces the possibility of encountering something completely unexpected. The world often feels less concerned with realism and more interested in delivering memorable and entertaining experiences. Exploration forms a major component of the gameplay. Players travel across a large world map filled with towns, hidden areas, dungeons, and optional content. The sense of discovery is one of the game's strongest features. Many locations contain secrets, side activities, or additional lore that reward players who take the time to investigate thoroughly. The adventure consistently encourages curiosity, making exploration feel meaningful rather than simply serving as a method of moving from one objective to another. Combat follows a traditional turn-based structure that will feel familiar to fans of classic RPGs. Battles emphasize strategy and resource management rather than fast reflexes. While standard encounters provide a steady challenge, the boss fights are where the combat system becomes particularly interesting. Many major enemies feature unique mechanics and attack patterns that require careful planning to overcome. Players cannot always rely on brute force alone and must instead learn how specific encounters function in order to achieve victory. These battles create some of the most memorable moments in the entire adventure. Character progression is closely tied to teamwork. Each party member possesses strengths and abilities that contribute to the group's overall effectiveness. As players advance through the story, they gradually learn how different characters complement one another in combat. This encourages experimentation and strategic thinking, preventing battles from becoming repetitive. The emphasis on cooperation among party members also strengthens the narrative theme of friendship and collective effort against overwhelming odds. Visually, Triangle embraces a nostalgic aesthetic inspired by classic independent RPGs. The graphics are modest and intentionally old-school, featuring simple sprites and environments that prioritize functionality over technical spectacle. While the presentation may appear dated to some players, it possesses a certain charm that fits the game's design philosophy. Fans of retro role-playing games will likely appreciate the straightforward visual style and the focus on gameplay over graphical complexity. The soundtrack contributes positively to the overall experience. Music accompanies exploration, combat, and story sequences with a variety of themes that help establish the mood of different locations. While the compositions may not rival the most celebrated RPG soundtracks, they effectively support the adventure and enhance the atmosphere. Combined with the game's colorful world and quirky cast, the audio helps maintain an engaging sense of personality throughout the journey. Humor plays an important role in defining the game's identity. Much of the dialogue, enemy design, and worldbuilding embraces absurdity in a way that feels intentional and charming. The game frequently presents situations that are unexpected and amusing without becoming overly reliant on jokes. This playful tone distinguishes Triangle from many other retro-inspired RPGs and helps ensure that the adventure remains memorable long after completion. What ultimately makes Triangle appealing is the sincerity behind its design. It feels like a project created by developers who genuinely love classic role-playing games and wanted to build their own unique adventure within that framework. Every aspect of the experience, from its unusual characters to its expansive world and strategic battles, reflects a clear passion for the genre. While it may not possess the production values of larger RPGs, it succeeds by focusing on creativity, exploration, and old-fashioned adventure. Triangle is a charming and often surprising role-playing game that offers far more depth than its simple appearance initially suggests. Its combination of humorous storytelling, memorable companions, extensive exploration, and engaging turn-based combat creates a rewarding experience for fans of classic RPGs. Players willing to embrace its retro presentation and quirky sense of humor will discover an imaginative adventure filled with personality, challenge, and a genuine appreciation for traditional role-playing game design. This game is crying desperately for an option to make that annoying music stop.

A genuinely good game. I don't know why their games are not getting reviews in general. Fun interesting scenarios, game mechanics. I love Louis and their theme music. Obviously the character design is very unique. Buy the game, it's cheap, Support indie!
