About

In TCM, meet Mori (fly-by-night party punk), Amir (lithe, conniving socialite), and Akello (certified DILF)- three mostly-normal, hot men who find themselves embroiled in the supernatural. Choose which path to pursue as you uncover their real demonic natures, catch feelings, and get busy with them at your discretion. The city's a dangerous place, however, and even worse things are lurking in grungy alleys to catch you (and your beau) off guard.

Explore each character's struggles in pursuit of their goals in further upcoming chapters, set to release regularly.

What does it mean to be human? In Tri City Monsters you'll come face to face with the answers. Mori, Amir, and Akello all lead very separate lives with their own problems but they all have one thing in common: they've traded their humanity for power but they all got more than they bargained for- and with some greater power making moves from the shadows, the dangers are a lot higher than any of them anticipated.
Help them cope with what's happened to them- by embracing their new demonic forms or by holding on to their humanity, the choice is yours- and maybe forge a deep and permanent connection. In one form or another.

Delicious art, fun music, and great story lines that leave me wanting more with each chapter. Don't ask me to tell you which monster is my favorite, I could never choose. Which leaves me with my one and only complaint or, less a complaint and more a wishlist in the future - I wish there was a Why-Choose story line option where the guys cross paths and...swords? Love it and can't wait for Chapter 6

Tri City Monsters is an adult supernatural romance visual novel that blends character-driven storytelling, demonic mythology, horror, dark comedy, and intimate relationships into an experience aimed at a very particular audience. Developed and published by Studio Peaches, it places considerably more importance on conversations, choices, relationships, and discovering the personalities of its unusual cast than on conventional action-oriented gameplay. Its central concept revolves around encounters with three demonic romantic interests, using their supernatural identities not merely for appearance but as an important component of the relationships, conflicts, and atmosphere surrounding the protagonist. The narrative is where most of the experience lives. Rather than presenting romance as an isolated side activity, the game builds much of its story around becoming increasingly involved with characters whose supernatural nature makes attraction potentially dangerous. This gives conversations a different quality from those found in an ordinary dating simulator. Learning more about a potential partner can reveal appealing personality traits and vulnerabilities, but it can also expose unsettling characteristics and complications associated with dealing with demons. The resulting combination of intimacy and uncertainty helps establish a tone that can move between affectionate, humorous, erotic, disturbing, and threatening situations without completely abandoning its central identity. Three principal romantic options provide the foundation for the branching structure. Each relationship offers an opportunity to explore a different personality and side of the supernatural setting, giving route selection more significance than simply choosing a preferred character design. Player decisions influence how these relationships develop and can ultimately lead toward different conclusions. Multiple endings give choices additional purpose and create an incentive to return after completing one path. Players interested in seeing everything therefore have reasons to experiment with alternative responses and pursue the other characters rather than treating a first playthrough as the entire experience. Gameplay follows the familiar foundations of interactive fiction and visual novels. Most of the player's time is devoted to reading dialogue and narrative passages, examining illustrations, selecting responses, and following the consequences of those decisions. There are no elaborate combat mechanics or large environments to master, and the challenge comes primarily from deciding how to approach conversations and relationships. This makes the experience accessible but also means that enjoyment depends heavily on engagement with the writing. Someone looking for constant mechanical interaction may find the pace too passive, whereas players who enjoy lengthy conversations and character development should be much more comfortable with its structure. The supernatural setting gives the writers plenty of room to introduce lore without turning the story into pure exposition. Demons are fundamental to the premise, allowing romance to exist alongside psychological horror and darker subject matter. One of the more interesting aspects is the contrast created by these elements. A conversation can be amusing or seductive before shifting toward something more unsettling, reminding the player that these romantic interests are not ordinary humans. Dark humor prevents the experience from becoming excessively oppressive, while the horror elements provide enough tension to keep the romantic material from feeling completely predictable. Its hand-drawn 2D presentation complements this storytelling approach. Character illustrations are particularly important in a visual novel because expressions and designs must communicate personality while large portions of the narrative are delivered through text. The artwork gives the cast distinctive appearances and supports both the supernatural and intimate aspects of the story. Illustrated scenes and CG material provide visual rewards for progressing through different relationships, while the overall presentation remains appropriately focused on characters rather than unnecessary spectacle. Music similarly helps reinforce the changing emotional atmosphere without distracting from the dialogue. Mature content is a substantial part of the experience rather than an incidental addition. Sexual and provocative material accompanies the monster-romance premise, so the game is clearly intended for adults comfortable with explicit themes. This significantly narrows its potential audience, but it also allows the developers to pursue their concept without trying to dilute it for broader appeal. Players specifically interested in unconventional adult romance may appreciate that commitment, while anyone uncomfortable with sexual content or supernatural relationship themes should recognize that these elements are central to the experience. Replayability is stronger than might initially be expected from a relatively straightforward visual-novel format. Different romantic routes, choices, alternative conclusions, achievements, and collectible scenes encourage additional playthroughs. Replaying also provides an opportunity to interpret earlier conversations differently after learning more about the characters and setting. The amount of repetition between routes may still matter to players who rarely replay narrative games, but those invested in uncovering every relationship outcome receive considerably more value from the branching structure. Controller support also makes the simple reading-and-selection interface suitable for relaxed play away from a traditional keyboard-and-mouse setup. For Steam Deck users, the visual-novel format is naturally well suited to a handheld screen and controller navigation. However, players should still check the current Steam Deck compatibility status and any community reports for potential interface, text-size, or platform-specific issues, particularly because official compatibility classifications can change over time. The main weaknesses stem largely from the same qualities that define its strengths. There is limited mechanical variety, the pacing relies heavily on reading, and players who fail to connect with the romantic cast will have little else to sustain their interest. The explicit material and monster-focused relationships further make this a niche proposition. Yet for its intended audience, that specificity works in its favor. Instead of attempting to satisfy every type of visual-novel player, it commits to supernatural romance, adult themes, branching relationships, dark humor, horror, and character-focused storytelling. Taken as a whole, Tri City Monsters is a distinctive adult visual novel that uses its demonic romance concept to create something stranger and darker than a conventional dating story. Studio Peaches successfully combines attractive character presentation, meaningful route choices, multiple endings, supernatural lore, humor, horror, and mature relationships into a cohesive package. It is best approached by players who value narrative and character interaction above mechanical complexity and who are comfortable with its explicitly adult direction. Within that niche, the combination of memorable personalities and branching supernatural relationships gives it enough individuality and replay value to stand out. Rating: 7/10

Having fun so far I am in the beginning of the game I'm taking my time and over all love the characters.
With an easy to use user interface and the kind of writing that has you caring for characters who you might have thought to write off, you can't lose with this game. The beautiful art and accurate mood music serve to highlight the heart of this game, and there's a lot of heart in this game. If you're a bit of a completionist/perfectionist like me, each character's story will be five hours of rich exploration. You could probably get through them in four if you are on a time crunch, but the game is time and money well spent in my books.
