I'm at day 94, I put in 32 hours of playtime, and...I regret it. I regret the money and the time I've put into this game waiting for it to get good. I mean, it was lauded by a lot of cozy gamers as being fun and with a great story so I thought I was just missing something, but no. It's the exact. same. thing. every day. You slowly build up your tools but they don't really improve things much, and you never, *ever* get extra time slots in a day, and you don't get any sort of notes on what goes into which slots or find a way to record the value of certain combinations (like what kind of business person *am* I anyway?), so you make snail's pace progress every day. The story was so spread out over long days of repetition that I got sick of the characters long before I finished it. They just annoyed me because I'd have to go and find whatever they were looking for, or pay for it out of funds that were never very high in the first place and that I was trying to scrape together to save for the tool upgrades. The movement is clunky, switching between screens got super annoying after the first few days, dropping items and having them glitch all over the screen happens a lot, you can carry items to the right screen but not the left screen for who knows what reason...etc etc. But even with a less glitchy game, I wouldn't have been able to say I found it fun enough to recommend.

For scale, across Steam · Top Sellers · Brazil over the last 30 days: the 26 chart moves that followed a price cut of more than 20% went a median of 7 places towards #1, and the 2,400 moves with no price cut behind them went 2 away. One store, one chart, one country — it is the only place we have enough observations to say even that.
Prices outside the United States have been collected since 6 August 2026 and chart positions since 19 July 2026, so a cut older than that has no market to compare and a market that joined later has no history yet. Nothing here is converted between currencies.

I'm leaving this game with really mixed feelings. This is a really fun concept with amazing artwork, funny dialogue, and an easy to digest story. I found myself liking several of the characters especially Donoval and Aunty. My problem comes with the gameplay itself. Unlike some of the other games where you clean/fix items, there's really not a lot of variation when it comes to what you need to do. A lot of your gameplay will consist of rotating a camera and holding down your mouse button while you hear the annoying clink clink of the chisel. There's also the option to wash items, combine them, and recolor them, but you have a tub that you can place (eventually) up to 3 items in to wash themselves overnight, combining objects can be really finicky, and the recolor tool is relatively expensive so you won't even have access to it for a large portion of the game and when you do get access, you have to extract colors from one object before applying it to another. The problem really comes to a head when you take into account the way time works into the game. You have six time slots, and can purchase 1 additional slot a night for 20 coins. Each action you take on the workbench takes up 1 time slot, and going to the market takes up 3. Until you beat the game, you can only go to the market on the 3rd and 6th days of the week. Why? For no godly reason at all. Time means nothing in this game except having to click around your hovel and sit through some loading screens. The plot can be put off for as long as you please, the customers do not care how long it takes to procure items, and you don't ever have to worry about losing the game because you ran out of rent or have to manage resources like food. You can also make absolutely fine money at the market with dirty bits of trash. This wound up making an otherwise very enjoyable game really tedious. I bought it because I figured it would be mindless enough to listen to my audiobooks to, and it is, and I'll probably keep playing it specifically as something to do with my hands while I listen to audiobooks. But I think this game could be so easily and massively improved by upgrades that allow you to fit more actions into a day (incentivizing you to use more than 1 tool) and potentially adding a couple more tools. They could even go in and make it so you can edit how fast or slow the day loop is. Ultimately I think this game is fine in its current state, neither great nor terrible, so long as you know what you're getting into. It's not a short game, the plot sometimes takes a while to spawn the items you need in order to advance, so I think people should know what they're in for when they buy it. I do hope they do some updates or maybe some DLC to add some content, and I'd still be down to see what the studio produces in the future.
I know repetition is the name of the game in the shopkeeper genre, but the repetition here somehow bleeds through the nice artwork and somewhat interesting premise until it just feels like clicking for the sake of it. On top of that uneasy feeling is the mechanic of never really having what you need to complete a sale, so you have to file customers away until you finally get what you need from the random bags of junk provided to you. That isn't really satisfying to me. But still, I want to like this, and might return later once there are some updates to fix some bugs. At the moment it looks and sounds like a good game... but only on the surface.
On paper, it's everything I would want in a cozy game. In reality though, it still needs some work and feels a bit unfinished. It's...ALMOST there, but ultimately feels like it was released too early. There's a few bugs that required me to restart, there isn't a good feeling of progression through the game, and it all feels a little too repetitive. Take a look at the chipping mini game - that's 90% of the game. Which is FINE if I felt compelled to continue to chip away (hah) at the game, but...6 hours in, I felt my face slipping off my skull and said "I'm good, I'll waste my time elsewhere."
Hello to the Goblin! (iykyk) I really liked this game. The concept has been done before, but the mechanics, characters, story and art make it feel new. It stayed fun and interesting from beginning to end, which I really appreciated. I kept saying "one more day" and then 5 more days would pass. Discovering, cleaning, and collecting trinkets never got old, and I always had something to look forward to finding next. Just know that in the beginning the trinkets you discover are pretty basic, but as you play, they get way better. The characters are the real stars, though. They're memorable, charming, and full of personality. Donoval is my new favorite game character for sure. Everytime I saw him I smiled. I enjoyed creating trinkets because of all the different customization options. Placing trinkets was frustrating because they never seemed to sit exactly where I wanted, and some of them would shift after closing and reopening the game. The room customization also felt a little limited, with fewer options than I was hoping for. I ran into a handful of minor bugs, but nothing that ruined the experience. I also picked up the DLC, and while it wasn't bad, it wasn't what I expected and I don't think it's worth the extra cost. Overall, I'd still recommend the base game at full price. It's charming, relaxing, and unlike anything else I've played.
Boring writing, boring gameplay, woke nonsense masquerading as inclusion... Everything wrong with modern gaming is encapsulated by this game. Nothing against cozy, chill games, and I can see that a lot of people have enjoyed this game, but this has been a god aweful experience, and I'm baffeled by the people who think that it's great.
I won't lie, I actually got this game for free on the Epic Games Store during a free weekend. I loved it and beat the main game within a couple of days. And now I'm here after getting the whole dlc pack and still lovin and playin the hell outta it <3
i meant to play this for half an hour to chill before bed. it is now 4am... i would die for any and all Hullifers

it's a fun game and many of the positives others mention in positive reviews, i can concur. however, the rotation system when trying to place items or assemble them is quite faulty, which is surprising considering how much effort and work has been put into this game. Assembling items is a big part of the game, so I'm confused why it still, to this day, has not been fixed. I've just tried to rotate a trinket to put on a shelve in the sleeping area and for the life of me, with WASD, mouse buttons etc, I could not get it to rotate so it stood the right way up. Additionally, the inventory would benefit from a sorting option. I like hoarding in games and then would love to assemble objects to complete them, but it's not fun to do right now with how the inventory works. I just wanted to point out these negatives since so many reviews already point out the positives. Either way, fun game with beautiful art, but I've unfortunately grown tired of it because of these aforementioned issues I have with it. Still, I recommend it.
