Excellent details. Challenging to play. Really tests your skills. It's fun too.

For scale, across Steam · Top Sellers · Brazil over the last 30 days: the 23 chart moves that followed a price cut of more than 20% went a median of 14 places towards #1, and the 2,515 moves with no price cut behind them went 2 away. One store, one chart, one country — it is the only place we have enough observations to say even that.
Prices outside the United States have been collected since 6 August 2026 and chart positions since 19 July 2026, so a cut older than that has no market to compare and a market that joined later has no history yet. Nothing here is converted between currencies.

I Like Evrything
This game is amazing! The graph and sounds are great and I can't stop listening to the soundtrack (can be found separately online) when not playing. I think it did an decent job to feel like the real thing on a laptop, well, given the obvious physical constraints of a laptop. OK, I'm not an engineer in real life; the only way I know the "real thing" is in SoCal Railway Museum's Run One program where I operated an electric and a diesel train at 15 mph on some old track and watched LA Metro operators from the window in the cab door. I especially love the Antelope Valley line and I'm really excited about the upcoming San Bernardino line in TSW5. I've lived in LA for 11 years and explored around a lot. I know lots of nooks and crannies. I'm very familiar with LA Union Station and Glendale Narrows. The model of LA and the Santa Clara River is pretty good and feels like the real thing though I can tell some major simplifications and inaccuracies. While I've never actually been inside the cab, I find the model of the cars pretty realistic, which even includes the bike decal and bike area, though in real life Metrolink has other types of cars and locos not modeled in the game. I wish that there're so many passengers away from Union Station. I really wish that Angelenos take transit more and that this game makes transit cool to carbrain Angelenos and shows a amazing aspect of LA to visitors beyond freeway traffic. I also wish that a future edition adds the 91/Perris Valley Line (amazing view along the Santa Ana River and in Moreno Valley) and the Coast Starlight route from Santa Barbara to Paso Robles, which are among the most scenic of SoCal rail routes. I recently moved out for a new job but I miss LA forever. This game really helps me dealing with homesickness. I miss all my wonderful trips on Metrolink! While I'm more interested in the LA route, I did play some other routes as well. The Vorarlberg route is very beautiful, with the snowy peaks. Also played the Flying Scottsman. I don't complain about the high price of the game because it takes a lot of work to make those beautiful model of the route. Though no idea how realistic those are since I've never been around Vorarlberg nor have I ever operated a steam loco in real life. Where things aren't so realistic but that doesn't bother me too much: In the Antelope Valley line model, often the game asks me to stop where I'm not supposed to in the station, like not at the actual cab spot sign. Sometimes where it asks me to stop is far from the cab spot and one car is away from the platform and the accessible boarding area is far away from the train. Also PTC is not modeled while Metrolink is foremost in implementing PTC because the 2008 Chatsworth Metrolink crash where a Metrolink train collided with a freight train after the Metrolink engineer went past a red signal because he was texting is the reason why we have PTC. Also, while there are trees in the LA River at Glendale Narrows, there're no hills inside the river, and there should be more buildings on Mt Washington, the hill east of the LA River Metrolink yard. Taylor Yard bridge should be updated; now it's a nice red bike and pedestrian bridge. The passengers also don't behave very naturally like the path they take while walking isn't very natural, but at least it's a huge improvement from Train Simulator Classic where passengers simply vanishing into the void when walking towards the end of the platform really creeped me out. Finally, the people I need to talk to in the game look so grumpy and on Flying Scotsman, the fireman doesn't move while he/she should be shoveling coal and looks like "look at that stupid engineer". Even my avatar in Flying Scotsman doesn't move when I set the camera outside the cab when I used the keyboard to move the controls.
LG Ein Zug Fan
