Prices
Each in the currency that store quoted — not converted: the gap between two rows is the publisher's pricing, not an exchange rate.
Charts
Each storefront's own chart, in its own country — the closest public signal to sales where none is published. A country missing from a list is one we don't collect there, not one where the game doesn't chart.
Discounts
Every price cut of more than 20% we have observed, in each market that quoted one, with this game's chart position on either side of it. These are episodes, not a model: a sale is one event, and one event cannot tell you what the next one will do.
Reviews, worldwide (the counter carries no country): 6.71/day in the week to Sep 15 → 19.25/day in the week after.
For scale, across Steam · Top Sellers · Brazil over the last 30 days: the 24 chart moves that followed a price cut of more than 20% went a median of 9 places towards #1, and the 2,404 moves with no price cut behind them went 2 away. One store, one chart, one country — it is the only place we have enough observations to say even that.
Prices outside the United States have been collected since 6 August 2026 and chart positions since 19 July 2026, so a cut older than that has no market to compare and a market that joined later has no history yet. Nothing here is converted between currencies.

Great oldschool JRPG. Just like with Yakuza 0 i get to start another massive series like this lol
Damn, the ending hits me like a truck, I though it will be a happy reunion ending.
This was my first time playing any game in this series and I went into it totally blind (I tried the demo for around 7 hours and then decided to buy the full game). I found most of the characters annoying and too tropey, the story was very predictable, and the cutscenes were way too long. And I loved the whole thing. Honestly, I have no idea how to explain it. I disliked so many individual elements of this game. And yet, it was completely engrossing and utterly charming. I played through the whole game multiple times (although I did skip the cutscenes on replay). While the characters never stopped being annoying stereotypes, they all really grew on me and I started to really care about them. The combat had surprising depth to it and the game keeps adding new elements to it every chapter. I think some of its strength comes from the story structure. Yes, the actual plot was pretty predictable. All the "oh no, s/he was the villain all along!" moments were completely transparent. Despite that, there was a lot the narrative did right. It starts of small scale and local like many RPGs do (you know, the classic "kill the rats in the cellar" type quests) but it escalates and deescalates in a more realistic manner. Frequently, your characters stumble upon a bigger conspiracy, handle whatever is the immediate problem, and then hand it off to more experienced characters to handle while returning to quests that pair better with their level of experience. It created an interesting story structure where the stakes kept fluctuating between smalltime errands and global conspiracy theories and that change in pace really helped keep me engaged. Play the free demo if you aren't sure; you can play the entire prologue which could easily take 6-10 hours depending on how thoroughly you explore the world. And don't worry, your progress carries over. However, I feel confident recommending it regardless. You will absolutely get your money's worth. I wishlisted the sequel long before I actually completed this one and I am eagerly anticipating its release next month.

Good stuff. Underrated JRPG. Never played the original but this was a great entry to the series. Can't wait for the second one and hope they remake the third one too.
What this game is - extremely linear game where nothing depends on your actions. No progression (except levels), no abilities, no open world, nothing. At least they've put some effort into characters and visuals. Thats the only pros. The leveling system seems to be there just for grinding. The way to make battles difficult - just increase the health points on oponents to like 30 times more than the player, but only when the player battles those opponents. That can clearly be visible in last chapter during tournament. When game just shows other battles it can clearly be seen that after getting 3000-4000 damage health of certain characters falls more than by half. Seconds later the player meets SAME characters in a battle. Oh what a surprise, now they have like 90000 health each (and I did not make a mistake with extra zeroes). Due to that fact many battles even against monsters are very long and very boring. They can be ended quickly, but then most powerful "magic" needs to be used which costs too much EPs. So all the game is basically saving EPs and then unleashing them on bosses. Same thing again and again and again. And near the end - even more long battles for which you basically no longer gain any meaningful amount of XPs because... why not? That said this game should have cost 40€ max. Way overpriced!
How should I even start this review ... I just finished it. It's my first game in the series ever, so WHAT WAS ALL OF THAT??? IT'S TOO BEAUTIFUL, I WANNA CRY, OH MY please I need 2nd chapter right now!!!!! Ehm, so, a review, eh? Well, Let's see me try ... Story: beautiful, absolute masterpiece. I like how lovable (and hateable some of) the casts are, all around the performance was great. I'm rooting for the blonde handsome, yo, he's my man. Anyway, the pacing feels great. It's a subjectively generic trope wrapped in a beautiful story, and I'm sold. Oh, and the environments, too. Man, everything was set up so nicely. The world is lively. The small open world is justified. Most - if not all - of the quests were meaningful. It feels a bit like I can't stop praising the story. (Edit: I just remembered: why does everyone sound the same? I mean, some characters do resemble others, but this is more of a voice problem. It came to the point where you may differentiate the voices into just some major groups, for example: girls, boys, men, women, old man, old women, and kids; some not fitting with their looks.) Talk about combat, since this is a JRPG at the end of the day: I was surprised by the quick battle mechanic, but I eventually got used to it. Both quick and command battle complimented each other. Ah, but of course, command battle is the main course here. It got more intuitive, and every upgrades felt like hard work paid off. I'm not the best minmaxxer, so normal difficulty was about the right amount of challenge for me. Common enemies did became somewhat a chore, but it set up the surprise for an annoying final boss
and the optional, very difficult boss
. Other things: the graphics and QoL features are definitely playing their parts in selling the story (I don't think I'll enjoy the original after playing this masterpiece of a remake). The game ran great, though I wonder if it had always been running like this. Oh, y'know the game is great when someone played with no music and still enjoyed the game so much (even about half of my first playthrough here was played with no sound at all). The map and minimap are actually clever, I love them. The cooking, the book collecting ... I think I'm running out of things to point out - not because everything else was bad, it's just that I'm getting pretty forgetful nowadays. Overall, it feels like I have just tasted a bit of the pinnacle of JRPG. I still have so much to discover. I hope my next journey won't disappoint me. 10/10, would try to beg my friends to play this game.
I'll check on the new game+ once I have caught up with all the real life thing I've been abandoning.
