Fast pace pixel art platform! Simple controls but with a very high skill ceiling. You will feel like a speed runner with how quickly you are able to maneuver though some levels and learn which paths to take to get just a little bit of extra time to out run the laser that is chasing you!

Solid take on a platformer that feels like it rewards skill and creativity instead of just level memorization.

This is normally not the kind of game that I play (not one for 2D platformers), but it is an incredibly well crafted and the game loop is perfectly tuned to keep you playing. The skill ramping is solid, starting you off in a very user friendly set of tutorial levels before throwing you into the fray. Your brain is drip fed sweet dopamine through any 'tough patch' with each inch of progress you make as you jump your way through challenging levels. The game's syth soundtrack, retro SFX and vibrant VFX working perfectly together. Supported all the way by the charmingly heartwarming character dialogue. Overall it's a gem of a game with plenty of replay value. Whether you want the challenge of speed running, going for "Stealth" or collecting Chips. The game loop is easy enough to pick up, but hard to put down.

Towerbolt is a fast and snappy platformer that feels GREAT to control. It's main mechanic revolves around staying off the ground as long as possible to charge a meter that lets you make larger jumps. What this leads to is a ton of creativity in routing your way through stages. There's always an obvious route, but you can often get pretty creative with shortcuts by managing your meter well. The result is a game that's really easy to play at any level, but at some point the game will click with you and the realization of just how much you can "break" it becomes apparent and it turns into a whole other kind of fun. If you love games with creative movement or have considered attempting the very concept of a speedrun before, there's a very high chance you'll love Towerbolt.
