Modeled estimate, not a reported figure. How we estimate →
Each in the currency that store quoted — not converted: the gap between two rows is the publisher's pricing, not an exchange rate.
14 of 15 markets; the rest we haven't asked for this title, not markets where it is unavailable.
Availability
We put this game to every storefront we collect. A market that answered not sold has told us something about the game; a market we never asked has not, and the two are never drawn the same.
Charts
Each storefront's own chart, in its own country — the closest public signal to sales where none is published. A country missing from a list is one we don't collect there, not one where the game doesn't chart.
No United States chart position — it charts only in the markets below.
Discounts
Every price cut of more than 20% we have observed, in each market that quoted one, with this game's chart position on either side of it. These are episodes, not a model: a sale is one event, and one event cannot tell you what the next one will do.

Add-ons
Each DLC is estimated with the same model as a game, then summed — a modeled figure, not reported DLC sales.
Sums Steam only; Xbox, Epic publish no volume signal, so the true total is higher by an unknown amount.
Updates
Build ids and update times come straight from Steam's PICS — the same source SteamDB reads. Patch history grows as we record new builds.

Reviews
EPIC. All the factions, whether included or DLC that you get with this game will be added to III if you ever get that too. Same goes with factions and DLC from the first game. Getting this, then getting the first game when on sale adds a lot to this one, cheap upgrade. You will constantly be like oh damn its 4am, just one more turn and then never actually sleep.
Didn't I already buy this game ?

14 on sale1 answered “not sold”0 we did not ask
The 1 “not sold” market is read from the Steam price pass of Sep 19: that day the store answered for this game elsewhere and gave no price there. The 14 priced markets are the same rows as the table above — each the latest price we hold, dated here when it is older than that pass. The 0 marked “not asked” were not put to this store at all — either it has no storefront there or we do not collect it yet, and neither is a statement about the game. A refusal is a refusal on one day; a store can list a title again tomorrow.
Latest in each market: best UK #75, worst UA #100 · 9 markets collected
Reviews, worldwide (the counter carries no country): 0.71/day in the week to Aug 14 → 2.57/day in the week after.
For scale, across Steam · Top Sellers · Brazil over the last 30 days: the 24 chart moves that followed a price cut of more than 20% went a median of 9 places towards #1, and the 2,404 moves with no price cut behind them went 2 away. One store, one chart, one country — it is the only place we have enough observations to say even that.
Prices outside the United States have been collected since 6 August 2026 and chart positions since 19 July 2026, so a cut older than that has no market to compare and a market that joined later has no history yet. Nothing here is converted between currencies.

it's hard to play another total war game because of how massive the content is, so many races, so many different units between those races, the replayability is almost infinite...

Best in the series, hands down. Lots of quality mods. Strategic, epic feel in comparison to WHIII's more fast paced gameplay. Great UI, Great campaigns. Endless replayability.
I always find myself coming back to play this game. Building up an empire and managing trade, your economy, alliances, public order, and armies is super satisfying. It always feels good to conquer a random enemy who had the audacity to declare war on you. Once you figure out the battles, they are a lot of fun to play. Overall, it is a great game, and I would highly recommend picking it up if you like strategy games.

The mortal empires campaign has a little banner that says free but it is not.
I have always had a particular fondness for war games set in medieval fantasy worlds—such as the Warcraft series—but I was previously frustrated by the rather small-scale nature of their battles; a supply cap of just 100 felt truly insufficient. The Total War Warhammer series, however, combines that medieval fantasy aesthetic with epic-scale combat, perfectly fulfilling every fantasy I’ve ever had about warfare in a magical world.
Better than Total War: Warhammer 3.
