TopplePOP: Bungee Blockbusters

Wow, this game is actually really damn fun! Not sure why the trailer and screenshots didn't really sell things to me at first.. But heck, I'm so glad I gave i bought it and gave it a try. Can't wait to play this with my kids. Kudos to the team behind this!

I didn't know what to expect really from the videos, it looked a bit like random physics Tetris, but the game is actually a lot more structured than I thought and has some really nice mechanics. The presentation is fantastic and the story is fun and moves things along. I'll update once I've played more, but it's great so far.

Brilliant game I've followed for a while from an early really promising demo. It manages to take mechanics you've seen in so many of these action puzzle games (colour matching, rotating bits, shooting pieces from distance, sticky blocks, physics & non sticky blocks, crazy combos) but merge all of that into something totally unique and not in the slightest bit that feels like a rehash. For EA this is incredibly polished, it's production 1.0 ready in terms of UI polish and depth of gaming mechanic, there is just no EA jank at all on show here, the lengthy dev period really shines in game. All that I'd say is lacking (as the EA blurb explains) is the single player experience, took me about 3h to play thru the chapters available, and I've by no means perfected them so a lot of replayability there, this game is pretty deep, easy to get into but a high skill ceiling for getting better and clearing/beating a level. There are also some timed challenges with leaderboards to build this out. Totally Steam Deck green tick worthy out the box - highly recommended and easily worth the EA price ticket

久しぶりに子供と大興奮しながらゲームを楽しんでいます！ ストーリーモードで丁寧に操作方法の説明があり、パーティーモードやチャレンジモードで友達や家族と一緒に遊ぶことが出来ます。 こういったパズルゲームで対戦するゲームはよく見かけますが、このゲームには全員で協力して遊ぶモードもあるため、力を合わせて頑張ることで得られる達成感や興奮を感じることが出来ます。 子供や友達と一緒に遊び、笑い合い、クリアした瞬間に思わずハイタッチしたくなるようなゲームは本当に珍しいと思います。 勿論一人で遊ぶモードも充実していて、Aiバトルで対戦したりチャレンジモードで難しい課題にチャレンジすることも出来ます。 パズルゲームらしく頭も使いますが、タイミングよく回転したり投げたり、押したりする必要があるのでアクションとしても本当に面白いです！ 今まで子供と一緒に遊んできたゲームの中で一番だと言い切れるぐらい面白いので、個人的には是非家族や友達と一緒にこのゲームをプレイして欲しいです。

Love the fact this game is simple in its gameplay but complex in tactics and skill - perfect for a family game! My 9 year old is fast becoming better than me already lol. Bright happy graphics, boppy music, and a fun vibe. Great game!

Great couch co-op game!

I absolutely love Tetris and Super Puzzle Fighter, so I was excited to try this fresh take on the genre. And while it certainly brings something new to the table, I don't think it offers a fair competitive experience. The physics feel unbalanced, which made the gameplay frustrating rather than engaging. Of course, you can’t master a game in just an hour, but I ran into so many small issues that dampened my enjoyment, and I didn’t want to risk exceeding the refund window - that alone says a lot. One major problem is how garbage blocks work. In Tetris, even when your opponent sends you junk lines, you can still clear them as part of your strategy. Here, however, garbage blocks can only be removed through colored combos. If your opponent sends you a solid row of garbage, you’re pretty much done for, since waiting for the right colors while trying to survive is far more punishing than it needs to be. Maybe I’ll give it another shot during a big sale, but beyond being a fun party game, I didn’t feel compelled to keep playing during the early access.
