Reviews
A nice cleaning/puzzle game that's multiplayer but I just beat it solo. Pretty short but good for a play or two. My only real complaint is it has terrible battery life on Steam Deck.

For scale, across Steam · Top Sellers · Brazil over the last 30 days: the 26 chart moves that followed a price cut of more than 20% went a median of 7 places towards #1, and the 2,400 moves with no price cut behind them went 2 away. One store, one chart, one country — it is the only place we have enough observations to say even that.
Prices outside the United States have been collected since 6 August 2026 and chart positions since 19 July 2026, so a cut older than that has no market to compare and a market that joined later has no history yet. Nothing here is converted between currencies.

Developed by The Knights of Unity and published by Untold Tales, Tools Up! takes the everyday concept of home renovation and turns it into a lively cooperative party game where communication and coordination matter far more than construction expertise. Instead of offering a realistic building simulator, the game embraces colorful arcade-style gameplay, asking players to complete renovation contracts under strict time limits. Whether painting walls, tearing up old flooring, cleaning debris, or moving bulky furniture through cramped apartments, every assignment quickly becomes a race against the clock. The straightforward premise makes it immediately approachable, while the steadily increasing complexity keeps the experience engaging well beyond the opening levels. The gameplay is designed around teamwork, supporting up to four local players who must divide responsibilities and adapt to unexpected situations. Each renovation project introduces different apartment layouts and objectives, forcing players to constantly reorganize their strategy. One teammate may focus on painting while another clears obstacles or delivers the correct materials, but even the best plans can unravel when furniture blocks hallways or someone accidentally creates more chaos than progress. The game thrives on these frantic moments, turning simple household chores into amusing cooperative challenges where laughter often follows every mistake. Rather than punishing errors too severely, Tools Up! encourages players to recover quickly and improve through better coordination. As players work their way through the apartment building, new mechanics and environmental twists prevent the formula from becoming stale. Fresh hazards, unusual room designs, and additional renovation tasks gradually increase the difficulty, requiring teams to think more carefully about efficiency and task management. Earning higher scores depends on minimizing wasted movement and completing jobs quickly, giving experienced players plenty of incentive to replay levels and optimize their performance. While the objectives remain familiar throughout the campaign, the evolving level design consistently introduces enough variety to keep each renovation feeling unique. The visual presentation complements the game's cheerful personality. Bright colors, expressive character animations, and exaggerated reactions give every renovation project a playful atmosphere that suits players of all ages. Apartments feature distinct decorative themes that add personality to each stage, while the simple interface keeps objectives easy to understand even during the busiest moments. Sound effects reinforce the comedic tone, from the splash of paint hitting walls to the clumsy crashes that occur when teammates collide while carrying furniture. Combined with an energetic soundtrack, the presentation helps maintain a fun and welcoming mood from beginning to end. One of Tools Up!'s biggest strengths is its accessibility. The controls are intuitive enough for newcomers to learn within minutes, making it an excellent choice for families and casual groups looking for a cooperative game that doesn't require extensive experience. At the same time, players seeking perfect scores will discover surprising depth in mastering efficient teamwork and communication. However, the game is noticeably less engaging when played alone, as many of its mechanics are clearly designed with multiplayer cooperation in mind. Some objectives also begin to feel repetitive during longer sessions, and occasional camera issues or cramped environments can make movement slightly frustrating when several players occupy the same space. Despite these minor shortcomings, Tools Up! succeeds as a charming cooperative experience that transforms ordinary renovation work into fast-paced entertainment. Its combination of accessible mechanics, creative level progression, and emphasis on teamwork creates a consistently enjoyable multiplayer adventure filled with memorable moments and lighthearted chaos. While it may not offer the depth of a true construction simulator, it delivers exactly what it promises: an energetic party game where communication, timing, and cooperation are the real tools for success. Players looking for a fun couch co-op title with plenty of replay value and a welcoming learning curve will find plenty to enjoy. Rating: 7/10
