Ok listen. Don't get me wrong this is a very cute train simulator featuring Thomas & friends but I honestly was coming in expecting this to be a game for the kids and have it just be about exploring Sodor. I mean as of right now it is but its super complex for train fanatics. Which again DON'T GET ME WRONG IS GREAT but I was not expecting at all lol Not something I'm into at all and wanted to see if it was a nice game for the kids to have fun with Thomas like I did on the Sega Genesis years ago, not a complex train game that kids wouldn't understand but train fanatics would die for. Definitely play this if your still into Thomas & friends and REALLY into driving trains.
I love the train and driver sim feel of this game, being able to get out and wonder the landscape to find objects and do tasks is much better than other games

Lovely little train simulator. A love letter to fans of the franchise, a nice entryway for people interested in railway operations, and a cute little game for railway enthusiasts familiar with Dovetail's other projects. Graphics and gameplay are smooth and lovely, only gripe is that the beginning cutscene needs a dialogue bypass button on the off-chance newer players make a mistake and have to sit through the same long piece of dialogue. Make tracks to great destinations!
