Discounts
Every price cut of more than 20% we have observed, in each market that quoted one, with this game's chart position on either side of it. These are episodes, not a model: a sale is one event, and one event cannot tell you what the next one will do.
Reviews, worldwide (the counter carries no country): 2.25/day in the week to Aug 3 → 1.57/day in the week after.
For scale, across Steam · Top Sellers · Brazil over the last 30 days: the 26 chart moves that followed a price cut of more than 20% went a median of 7 places towards #1, and the 2,400 moves with no price cut behind them went 2 away. One store, one chart, one country — it is the only place we have enough observations to say even that.
Prices outside the United States have been collected since 6 August 2026 and chart positions since 19 July 2026, so a cut older than that has no market to compare and a market that joined later has no history yet. Nothing here is converted between currencies.

The Idea is there but the execution is not good enough. After playing for about 60 Minutes me and my friend encountered several bugs and glitches until the game crashed my PC on death. Animations are either really choppy or not there. Enemies and turrets sometimes spot/notice you from several rooms away without any possibility for a line of sight to explain this.
garbage, with a cool concept, that was unfortunately completely abandoned by devs before it could be anything, theres about 10 minutes of content in this "game", if you really want to steal some stuff, start by doing so with this game, and keep those 5 dollars for a sammy.

Enjoyed the two player experience for the 1st hour but wanted to play with a group only to find out its 2 player coop now so felt guilty asking another friend to pick it up not knowing thats what happened and from what ive read development on the game has come to a halt and is stuck on a open beta
It is obvious that the devs took inspiration from Dishonored series when creating this game. Some parts of this game are quite fun to goof around with and some Dishonored (which I am a big fan of) gameplay is very well to be seen here. Yet, the largest hickup this game encounters is the lack of variaty during the levels and a not that smart of an AI. The guards have been stuck in a strange "I forgot... Oh I found something!" loop quite a lot of times. Those two, for me, major factors have killed the games momentum. That would be the reason why I would not recommend this game
Amazing game! Worth the price of 5€. Sad that it did not bring enough revenue to support further development! Devs are supporters of "Stop Killing Games" Movement though
money grab. game stoped support after 2 months of the release. no future game updates are planned. Just play dishonored
Sneaking on the same maps over and over kills the joy of playing
A great demo for a game than never happened

What this game should have been
Initially the game was planned as PvPvE thieving Extraction ImSim, and that was a great and bold concept. Sadly, mere month before release someone from the high ups forced devs to gutter the game, forcefully reshaping it into a plain coop structure. And that could still work, if this decision wasn't made so late. Pre-release concept was a labor of passion, and you can see it in almost every detail: small systems, gadgets, multiple objectives, hero powers, map layouts, small Easter eggs, etc. At the end of the day we have bunch of systems, like calling cards and footsteps, that are just not needed for the released product, but are really important for player competition.
What the game is now
First things first: the dev team has been downsized to "less than 10 people", so the game is more like a patient on a live support in a coma. There are some patches and QoL updates here and there, but I wouldn't hope for any big updates, like new characters, game modes or even maps, despite they were almost done as seen in the pre-release gameplay videos. The game is extremely tiny: there are only two maps that you will play constantly and two characters, one of which is fun, and the other one is called Chameleon. You will be done with all the possible experience game can offer within one evening even in Coop. I wish I could highlight good things in the game, but almost none of them doesn't work in it's current state. It's a proof of concept and a great one! But it's simply not fun enough for a major audience without major updates. And I cannot be sure they are coming.
Then why do I still recommend the game?
It's costs just 5$. Yes, it is a game for one evening, but it's extremely cheap. And for such a price, TaT offers you a bunch of interesting details and still provides you with some fun time. So if you like games with fresh ideas (even if they doesn't work as intended), searching for a short solo/coop stealth game, or just want to support guys and girls, working hard on a project they are forced to gutter by their own hands and help them keep their workplace - I genuinely think you should buy it. It breaks my heart to see what Thick as Thieves COULD be, but didn't managed to be.
