About
A small adventure with a big story. Theropods takes around 2-3 hours to finish. Perfect for an afternoon or a relaxed weekend.
Wordless point-and-click adventure — no dialogue, no subtitles, just animation, sound, and visual storytelling.
An unlikely friendship in a hostile world — a wordless story of bravery, trust, and survival.
Brains over brawn — outsmart dinosaurs, distract barbarians, and puzzle your way out of deadly situations.
A vivid prehistoric world — trek through jungles, valleys, canyons, caves, and wild dinosaur territory.
Gorgeous hand-drawn pixel art brought to life with cinematic frame-by-frame animation.
An immersive soundtrack blending tribal rhythms with eerie sci-fi synthesizers.
A glowing stone crashes from the sky into a young hunter’s village. Its arrival draws a bloodthirsty tribe, who attack the settlement and enslave her people.
Barely escaping into the jungle, she discovers the stone’s true origin: a stranded spaceman whose damaged pod depends on it.
Together, this unlikely pair must cross dinosaur-infested lands to free her tribe and find a way to send him home.
Theropods is a classic point-and-click adventure built around visual logic. Watch how characters move, how creatures behave, and how each scene changes as you poke, prod, and experiment.
Instead of fighting your way through danger, you solve your way through it — distracting predators, avoiding enemies, triggering reactions, and finding clever ways past situations too dangerous to face head-on.
Theropods replaces dialogue trees, long conversations, and text walls with gestures, expressions, sound, and visual storytelling. The story unfolds through action: what characters do, what they notice, and what changes around them.
With no subtitles or text-heavy exposition to translate, the adventure is built to be understood by players anywhere in the world.

A short but sweet point and click adventure with great pixel art, sound and story.

Love the retro feel and the overall story. Got stuck at few puzzles but solved it eventually (making me finish the game in between 3 and 4 hours) with no prior knowledge or checking for solutions. Most of them are straight forward after you figure out few mechanics. Downsides: Had a feeling the ending was abrupt puzzle solving wise, there were a couple of voiceover parts that were a bit off, and I know there's no language in game but it would help if items in your inventory would say what they were on hover, or even when you hover them in the world.... And my not too spoily spoiler about the end of the story:
I'm not sure I would make the same decision.
There was a bug that game wanted to run in 2k on a 1080p monitor that i had to deal with when switching between Fullscreen and Windowed (my other monitor is 2k though.
A solid 7.5/10, worth playing but with caveats. Theropods has lots to like with its charming art and sound design, and it well conveys its sweet story without using any dialogue. However the gameplay regularly falls short. There's frequent moon logic and unintuitive solutions, you rarely have more than 3 or 4 items in your inventory, and items are exclusively limited to the current scene/chapter. What this boils down to in practice is a lot of brute forcing by using every item on every item/interactive object, and often only when you get it correct does it become apparent what the intended logic of the solution was. As an art piece, there's a lot to like. As a point and click/puzzle game, it is lacking and is inferior to many of its peers released in the last few years. If you're playing for the art, you'll enjoy it. If you are looking for a clever and intuitive puzzle game, there are better options.
Very charming and moderately difficult game. The zero dialogue aspect was executed very well. However, It is very structured, so there's really only one way to play it.
Theropods is a high quality point-and-click game, don't let appearances fool you despite the pixel art style, the visuals are lovely. But that’s not all it has going for it, the story is well worth experiencing, and I can say I’m eager to find out what happens next after where I left off. The puzzles are neither too simple nor too difficult to figure out and solve, so they fit in perfectly with the rest of the game.
Loved this little point and click game! I'd been waiting a while for it, in a way I was disappointed it was so short, but it was a fun game, only one of the puzzles was a little bit counter intuitive. Art was lush, sound design was also great, cutscenes were glorious, but I do wish it had been a little longer. Still, for a game made by just three people, it was really cool! Hope there's a sequel in the works! If you like Point & Click adventures, you'll enjoy it, but be warned it is a fairly short (but sweet) experience.
