Thermo Sudoku

Now I want to emphasize that this isn't a bad game by any means. This is actually pretty good sudoku with a nice twist and quality of life features, but that's the problem... it's JUST some good sudoku... with a twist... and some quality of life features. I just don't see the point in buying this when there are plenty of free versions of sudoku that are close to if not as good as what's provided here. Like, there's not even background music so you're gonna have to provide your own when playing unless you wanna sit in silence. Also, no the whole thermometer thing really doesn't add enough to sudoku to warrant the price (and I wouldn't be surprised if you could find free versions of thermo sudoku anyway). So at the end of the day, I do regret purchasing this game. While I'll still play it sense I've already spent the money and it's still decently good sudoku. If you need your sudoku fix I'd just recommend going with other free versions of sudoku as this just isn't providing anything worthwhile those don't.

The thermo-specific Sudoku app from CtC Team delivers once again, with new features like the Smart Hint, that is really helpful, because most of the time, it is not the tricks I did not see, it is just naked singles and naked pairs (I wish I would be better spotting these). The puzzles seem a little bit easier maybe because thermo is such a popular and frequent version that I am more tuned to the logic. But the harder puzzles ARE hard don't get me wrong: There are all kinds of hidden pairs and Y wings and all kinds of stuff to be discovered, and the thermo rule is not always helping when things get above 6-star. Some of the puzzles were really pretty logic-wise and I felt accomplished if I spotted the trick. The rating of the puzzles are mostly accurate, some medium puzzles I feel was easy, and I found one that was particularly hard with 3 Y-wings or something. Sadly it is just 80 puzzles so far (will be 100), but they are all quality. The last few are TOUGH. And the last one is just beautiful, it is almost a bonus puzzle after all that struggle with hidden triples and Y wings. Note: The last 5 puzzles were extremely difficult for me, in one instance even the Hints were cryptic to me until I have read them like 5 times. Other times, a guess is required and finding the contradiction, which is not my favorite way to solve a puzzle.

it's a sudoku game. if you like sudoku you'll like this. the hints are well designed and great for when you're stuck in that they both explain why a number goes in a square as well as what number goes in a square
