The Walking Dead: Saints & Sinners delivers one of the most immersive VR survival experiences I’ve played. From the moment I stepped into the flooded ruins of New Orleans, I was hooked by the gritty atmosphere, the weighty combat, and the sheer tension of scavenging for supplies while avoiding the undead. The physics-based interactions make every action feel real—whether I’m swinging a machete, reloading a gun, or physically pulling a knife out of a walker’s skull, the game never lets me forget how brutal survival can be. The freedom to approach situations however I want is a huge plus. Sneaking through dark alleyways, engaging in brutal melee combat, or making tough moral choices with factions adds depth to the experience. The crafting system is solid, and scavenging for materials feels rewarding. The gunplay is satisfying, and melee combat has a visceral weight that few VR games manage to nail. However, despite all its strengths, I couldn’t shake the feeling that the game was too short. The missions, while engaging at first, quickly fell into a repetitive cycle of fetching items and delivering them. I kept waiting for more variety, for something to break the pattern, but it never really came. The story had potential, but it felt like it ended too soon, leaving me wanting more. That said, Saints & Sinners is still an impressive VR experience. The atmosphere, combat, and survival mechanics make it stand out, even if the mission structure could have used more variety. If you’re looking for a tense, immersive zombie survival game, it’s absolutely worth playing—but don’t expect a deep, evolving narrative or a long campaign.
