The Sims™ 4

played the hell out of sims 3 as a kid. this is a very clear downgrade in every way, even with the modern graphics it just lacks any personality and feels extremely bland. even if it werent for that, they have almost all the fun stuff locked behind expensive dlcs. the previous games having seasons and pets locked behind dlcs was already outrageous, but having so many dlcs that it totals up to over 1k will probably land you in the fourth circle of hell. gameplay-wise its still just the sims, but it lacks any of the personality or fun the previous games had, as theyve removed pretty much all of the dark and weird elements that defined it, and dumbed it down to be more "appealing". not a fan, but if you dont care about any of that its a solid game.

Pirate your DLC's from the internet

Lots of DLCs necessary for you to actually indulge and have your fun. Sure, the game might be free sometimes, but then you have to pay $20 to give a family a dog! Don't recommend for the amount of hidden payments EA has.

The Sims: Money Laundering Edition. Compare it to The Sims 2 and 3 Base games and DLC Packs and you have 1/3 of their content, way more buggy and way less fun. IF you want to play the game (After all, it is free now) and don't know which DLCs to buy (Even tho, I strongly don't recomend spending any money on this game), I'd recommend Seasons and Growing Together packs (And Cats and Dogs for those animal lovers)
