Discounts
Every price cut of more than 20% we have observed, in each market that quoted one, with this game's chart position on either side of it. These are episodes, not a model: a sale is one event, and one event cannot tell you what the next one will do.
For scale, across Steam · Top Sellers · Brazil over the last 30 days: the 26 chart moves that followed a price cut of more than 20% went a median of 7 places towards #1, and the 2,400 moves with no price cut behind them went 2 away. One store, one chart, one country — it is the only place we have enough observations to say even that.
Prices outside the United States have been collected since 6 August 2026 and chart positions since 19 July 2026, so a cut older than that has no market to compare and a market that joined later has no history yet. Nothing here is converted between currencies.

After many years of living the hectic city life, you finally decide to leave everything behind to buy your first lot of land in the country and start a new life, in the quiet, close to nature. However, your skills as a farmer will be put to the test to make your ranch a flourishing business and earn the villagers' respect and esteem.
Take care of animals, grow crops, claim resources, buy new lots of land, and much more. You'll have plenty of space to create the ranch of your dreams.
The Ranchers is for you if you:
Are looking for a farming simulator with sandbox freedom to play your way.
You want a cozy space to unwind, but with enough action to keep things exciting.
Love farm simulator games.
Appreciate a big open world waiting to be explored.
Want to build alone or invite up to three friends to help out.
Find joy in the creative freedom of base-building and home decoration.
Fancy the charm of indie games built on passion.
Grab your trusty hammer and head over to your workbench! Gather basic resources and turn them into useful items such as fences, sprinklers, greenhouses, and much more. Transform your humble home into a thriving ranch!
Managing a ranch can be expensive. Optimize your Ranch's resource consumption, sign water, electricity contracts, or build your water wells, wind turbines, and solar panels and sell your surplus to the village.
A well-tended ranch will produce the high quality crops you need to catch the attention of the villagers, fulfill daily orders, and sell your goods at the local markets for a decent profit to keep things running smoothly.
It wouldn't be a proper ranch without animals! Build barns and coops of all sizes, and invite little (and big) friends to join you. From chickens and bunnies to goats and cows, you can pick your favorites or try to collect at least one of each.
Whether on foot, by bike, in a pickup truck, or in a fancy sports car, there is so much to explore. From markets and fashion boutiques to car dealerships, parks, or even a casino, it’s all waiting for you. But be mindful of the clock! Just like in real life, The Ranchers features both shifting seasons and a daily cycle, meaning you’ll need to plan your errands carefully while the stores are open.
A simple studio-apartment or a multi-story house? It's really up to you. Build your home from scratch and decorate it as you please. Rancher, home builder AND designer? Not too shabby.
Invite up to 3 friends to visit your ranch and enjoy country life together! Farm, build, raise animals, explore the open world, and help each other grow.
Each player has their own ranch and world progression. When you join a friend, you are visiting the host’s world, so ranch and quest progression remain tied to the host’s save.
However, playing as a guest still rewards your own progression: you earn money and Skill Points (XP), and you can bring any items and blueprints in your inventory back to your own ranch.
Play entirely solo, open your ranch to friends, or visit theirs whenever they’re online.
Are you a good citizen or living on the edge? In The Ranchers, actions can have consequences. Destroying, stealing or reckless driving may fall under the police’s radar, so be careful - or simply enjoy the rush of an action-packed getaway!
And once again - remember to join our incredible community on Discord.

I was hopeful that since I played the demo, many things would have improved. Namely, camera controls, vehicle controls (I'd seen a developer update that this had been "fixed), general bugginess, and poor optimization. Nothing had improved. The moment I landed in the airport, my character was stuck at a 60% angle while on solid ground. I basically had to be close enough to make out with a character before the button would come up to engage in conversation. The moment I got into a car and struggled on a straight stretch of highway, I knew it was a no-go. Moving the camera around was a mix between unresponsive and "let's go for a 360 spin." Character creation is extremely limited and I do not understand in the color wheel why you can opt for 12 shades of white (it's all the same white). That alone to me shows a lack of intuitive common sense while playtesting. Save your money.

This would be a better review and a thumbs up if their wasn't so many bugs. And at $22 wait to see if it gets better. I have enjoyed playing the game for the last 2 days with the bugs and it looks like it has great potential but is not in early access state yet and should have stayed in Beta till some more bugs were hashed out. Also the amount of police is insane and if you bump the police car they chase you but I stopped and it cost $140 fine for bumping the police car. Stealing and running is fun but kind of weird in a ranch game and the future fighting monsters seems like another bad idea for this game. I love how you can get a job driving a taxi I love the open world and alot of the game but fixes need to happen and changes need made for this game to not just be another money grab game as soo many out their
The house building is a complete disaster. Terrible building mechanics. I don't know or care about the games kickstarter history but you have to do some mental flexing to justify the price of this. It starts off just good enough to get you past the 2 hour return window, then the game falls apart with the crafting and building. I could not finish the house because it would not register my roof was done. At that point I was soft locked and could not progress. I feel like I got ripped off. Painful.
The game feels very constrained! This will be my last time buying something early access! May steam should change there policy where early access games con not charge for the game! kind of like a demo! or trial run! I try to always give it time to grow on me but that always bites me in the but so the loss of revenue will begin in this house hold we are just not spending money in good faith any longer we bought 2 copies and at this time well we hate the game lol! Game does not feel like a game granted its early access but it massively lacking enjoyment! Hopefully it get better.
I just harvested my crops and finished building a house then got ready to sleep for the night when it happened. I lost internet connection. Not my connection, but the games connection disconnected. I lost ALL the progress that I did for the day and now have to do it all over again. I know the game is in early release right now, but this is rediculous. This is like the third or fourth time it happened within just a couple hours of play. Hoping this gets repaired soon, but for now I say save your money and buy something else until a later update happens.
I like this game, however I can not give it a positive review at the moment for two reasons. 1) You can not change the controls, the current controls from my perspective are just awkward. 2) I have come across a few bugs that stop the story from progressing, especially around house building
After 4.5 years on my Wishlist I think it needs another 4.5 years in development before it is worth playing. Even No Man's Sky launched in a better shape than The Ranchers. It is unfortunate, and I feel sorry for the Dev(s) but I feel they launched into early access some years too early. the viewing angle is just horrible, the money goes down far too quickly. The 'Dialogue' is all typed out in real-time so long dialogues from NPC's use up the majority of the game day. You character's Energy runs out so quickly you find yourself having to quit the day and sleep til the next day at 9am in the morning - seriously, it's THAT BAD! If you are wondering if this might be like 'My Time in Sandrock' or 'Portia' it is NOT - not even close. In those games there was a way to more easily increaseand manage your energy and you had a lot more energy to star with. Money lasts only a few days yet the ability to grow food takes much longer and costs money and there is a VERY high probability you will lose the whole crop to birds before you manage to grow the food you so desperately need to survive. It's like playing The SIms 1 with a much more restricted view, with no food and Souls Like game rules. It is far from a 'cozy' game. I will revisit this game every now and again and update my review if it warrants it.
Unfinnished pre-alpa looking, quick cash grab game.
I have been following and anxiously awaiting the release of this game for a long time. I am not disappointed! While there are some quirks and bugs, and some features are not yet available, it is to be expected in a game that has just been released and is in early access. However, quirks and all, they do not affect the enjoyment of playing the game. I know the devs are dedicated and can not wait for the updates when the additional features are available.
