The Radiants

Fantastic game! The world-building was lovely, the mysteries had me on the edge of my seat, and the characters were so wonderful to get to know. I feel like things wrapped up a bit too quickly, particularly with the love interests (some more than others), in the second act, but it sounds like more content is planned, so hoping this will be fleshed out. Also hoping for some additional fleshing of the concepts of being "sullen," going to the "darkness," or being "bad"/getting demerits, because it felt a bit gamey in the way you just had to be mean or break into random places for no reason to see certain content. Some of the content revolving around these concepts was also a bit too vague to really be impactful. However, if you're looking to be swept away to magic school a la horse hall and similar titles, definitely recommend!

I really enjoyed playing this game. I'm French, so English isn't my first language, but I still found the game easy to understand. I've read some reviews that I found extremely harsh with the game. The story is enjoyable and well crafted. The design of the characters and the game as a whole is beyond beautiful. I've only completed one route so far, Arien's, as I didn't have any interest in the other love interests, which is the only negative point of the game for me. Kai, Grey, our roomate or even the professor (which I find a bit morally disturbing) aren't interesting or relevant love interests in our character's situation, since she spends very little time with them, it's hard to imagine anything (except for our roomate, who I just don't think is sufficiently developed in terms of the sentimental potential there could be between the characters). I've read that there will be an update, with a route where we can choose Dex, and I can't wait for that! The game reminds me a lot of Eldarya, and I think that's a great compliment. Congratulations to the whole team on a job well done, and thank you for the great time I've had playing your game!

I just love this game. The love interests are all so nice, I acutally wish there was a harem ending!!!!

I love this game! Wonderful story lines and beautiful art work. I love the game design and the way different stat builds can impact the story. I got to romance Arien, Rheala, Kai and Grey and all of their story lines were so cool to explore. The lore and world building is also very interesting. Overall great game, definitely recommend!

The asking price for this game is way too high compared to the content available. I know my amounts of hours in this game is fair enough for the cost, but sadly those hours does not reflect the actual content. Instead about half of that time consists of skipping through already seen content to get to different endings and different romance paths. The art is good, even great at times, but the story itself is a bit flat and ends before it feels like it even started properly. Maybe if those promised updates actually ever happens the game might be a bit more worth it, but at this time there has been a year with no updates, so that is probably not happening.

The Radiants is one of my top favorite games now, I LOVED this otome!!! I heard there is an additional route that might be added so I haven't completely played this and will definitely come back to play again... even if this was fully complete I would come back to play this again I love this game that much. I have played a lot of otomes/romance games and The Radiants is truly original with its gameplay and romance endings. The Good: 1. The art style is fantastic, the music is nice and matches the situations. 2. I played Kia, Grey, Arien, and Rheala's routes + the 2 secret routes (I did not play Balins routes only out of personal preference for now, I may or may not come back to play his). They were all really good, I enjoyed everyone's personality and especially there endings. 3. (Some may not agree with this one) Usually otomes are set up where the different choices gets you to your romance interests route or answering the right choices gets you to the good end or really good end, but not for this game. You don't have to be a different person for the different love interests, for example My character was always rebellious, polite, humble, etc. I always kept the same general answers throughout the VN because I liked not having to change my MC too much for a route (a couple answers allow you to have more interaction with certain people), there is only one choice throughout the game where you choose your romance route and lock in. Basically everyone has a small crush on the MC but they wont make any moves unless the MC shows interest back.... except for grey, hes a different case... 4. The endings are really unique I loved getting different endings for the different romances. Some endings are arguably better for certain characters then others. The endings are tied to stats and sometimes Merits/Demerits. 5. Stats and Merits/Demerits was really cool to play with + the random events were always really fun to me, they add life to the game beyond it just being a VN and I'm about to say yet again how I loved this game but I cant help it because i really do love this game!! <3 <3 6. The Lore/World building made me so happy, I can see the love put into this game. I really really hope another game comes out tied to this Lore/world building the story made me fall in love. The Bad: I'm sorry I really got nothing, this game is being improved upon and I see the developer is active with the community fixing things when they can. There isn't any content warnings to talk about either. Conclusion: I have played a lot of games, a lot of otome/romance games and The Radiants is very well done. I'm so happy I found this game!!! <3 <3 <3
