Developed by Visma Games and published by Red Axe Games, The Pub Life Simulator: Prologue introduces players to the rewarding challenge of turning a neglected pub into a lively and profitable gathering place. As a free preview of the upcoming full release, the game offers a focused slice of its management systems while highlighting the satisfying progression that defines its gameplay. Rather than emphasizing dramatic storytelling, it concentrates on the everyday responsibilities of running a business, allowing players to experience the gradual transformation of a rundown establishment into a welcoming venue through careful planning and consistent effort. The experience begins with restoring the pub to working condition. Cleaning the premises, organizing the interior, and preparing essential equipment establish a strong sense of ownership from the very beginning. These simple yet meaningful tasks create a natural feeling of progression because every improvement visibly changes the environment. Once the pub opens its doors, players take on the responsibilities of serving drinks, restocking supplies, and ensuring customers leave satisfied. The steady cycle of earning money, upgrading facilities, and attracting more visitors creates an addictive gameplay loop that constantly rewards efficient management without becoming overly stressful. Business expansion forms the heart of the experience. As profits increase, players gain access to new beverages, improved equipment, and additional resources that allow them to enhance both service quality and customer satisfaction. Deciding when to spend money and when to save becomes an important part of long-term success, giving the economic system greater depth than simply accumulating wealth. Inventory management, purchasing ingredients, and maintaining a balanced budget encourage thoughtful decision-making throughout the game. These mechanics provide enough strategy to keep each shift engaging while remaining accessible for players who are new to business simulation games. The presentation complements the relaxed atmosphere the developers are aiming for. The first-person perspective helps immerse players in the daily routines of pub management, making ordinary activities such as preparing drinks, arranging furniture, or cleaning the establishment feel surprisingly enjoyable. Watching the pub gradually evolve from a worn-down building into a bustling social space reinforces the rewarding sense of accomplishment that drives the experience. The visuals prioritize clarity and functionality over flashy effects, allowing players to focus on growing their business while appreciating the visible results of their investments. The inclusion of cooperative gameplay also adds welcome flexibility, allowing friends to work together in managing the establishment and sharing responsibilities. Although this is only a prologue, it succeeds in showcasing the core mechanics and overall vision of the full game. The available content demonstrates a solid foundation built around progression, customer service, resource management, and business expansion. While experienced simulation fans may eventually reach the limits of the preview, it effectively leaves players wanting more by introducing systems that feel polished and interconnected. The steady pacing makes it an inviting experience for casual players while still offering enough management elements to satisfy fans of the genre. The Pub Life Simulator: Prologue delivers an enjoyable and promising introduction to what could become a compelling management simulator. Its emphasis on building a successful business through gradual improvement, smart financial choices, and customer satisfaction creates a consistently rewarding gameplay loop. The approachable mechanics, comfortable atmosphere, and clear sense of progression make the prologue an excellent showcase of the full game's potential. If the complete release expands upon these systems with additional features, customization options, and long-term objectives, it has the ingredients needed to become a standout entry in the business simulation genre. Rating: 6/10
Has great potential, need to make the days a bit longer so that you can just make more customers and add to how hectic it can be. MOST IMPORTANT, EITHER REDUCE DRASTICALLY HOW OFTEN PEOPLE TRY TO SKIP OUT ON PAYING OR REMOVE THAT FROM THE GAME, YOU SPEND TO MUCH TIME JUST WATCHING THE PEOPLE DRINKING TO DO ANYTHING ELSE SO THEY DON'T SKIP OUT ON YOU.
The game has true potential the things I would prefer to see Payment after you receive the drink unless you provide the option to set up a tab. (Requires Card behind the till) It's a bar so they should be coming to the bar for the drink I don't see why there is table service unless there is food. (Or a QR System order from the table) More chaos bigger crowds people getting drunk and dancing, bouncers at the door.
Great game, but we need a bouncer at an earlier levels rather than later.
