Red Barrels invites you to experience mind-numbing terror, this time with friends. Whether you go through the trials alone or in teams, if you survive long enough and complete the therapy, Murkoff will happily let you leave… but will you be the same?
Modeled estimate, not a reported figure. How we estimate →
Prices
Each in the currency that store quoted — not converted: the gap between two rows is the publisher's pricing, not an exchange rate.
Charts
Each storefront's own chart, in its own country — the closest public signal to sales where none is published. A country missing from a list is one we don't collect there, not one where the game doesn't chart.
No United States chart position — it charts only in the markets below.
Discounts
Every price cut of more than 20% we have observed, in each market that quoted one, with this game's chart position on either side of it. These are episodes, not a model: a sale is one event, and one event cannot tell you what the next one will do.
For scale, across Steam · Top Sellers · Brazil over the last 30 days: the 24 chart moves that followed a price cut of more than 20% went a median of 9 places towards #1, and the 2,404 moves with no price cut behind them went 2 away. One store, one chart, one country — it is the only place we have enough observations to say even that.
Prices outside the United States have been collected since 6 August 2026 and chart positions since 19 July 2026, so a cut older than that has no market to compare and a market that joined later has no history yet. Nothing here is converted between currencies.

I absolutely LOVED this game at launch, I think it had the most promise of a online horror experience in a long time, but something went wrong along the way and they made this game way more of a grind fest than it needed to be. I just don't think where this game is headed is personally for me. Also ♥♥♥♥ AI, there is no excuse for any assets in game to be generated from AI when you have so many artists in house and artists willing to use their art in game. I know it's just some stupid posters you don't need to look at, but it's lazy and shows a lack of care in certain aspects of the game some may really enjoy.
Started out as a cool game and a hyped continuation of the outlast series after a long time. Unfortunately went down hill from there. Cosmetic designs have significantly dropped in quality. Writing was good but they've dragged out this story for too long to bleed it dry that the writing has been terrible. New enemies have honestly been nothing burgers, Otto & Aurora are two very annoying characters that have voicelines that make you want to not play his trial, the biter is just nothing, Liliya is just an overpowered pouncer. The last new enemy that was decent was the pitcher. Trial design have extremely dropped in quality, hard mode is essentially just "enemy camps area and annoys you while you're doing the objective dragging out the time you spend in the trial." Such level designs have also been released recently with Otto & Auroras MK's where you do that "put objective in a spot relative to what's on the screen" while he is just sitting on the roof annoying the hell out of you. Overall, it feels like they are not even really trying anymore and they are just dragging out the experience so that they can maintain the game until they get bored of it and finally ready to call it quits in continuing the game. This game really went down hill after Franco's second trial and has continued to hit the ground super hard in terms of experience and quality. A disappointment as I am a big fan of this series but there is a limit to how much garbage you can shove down my throat before I get tired of it. Bringing back Amelia's whole escape thing is also a perfect example of this games writing quality going down. I love this series but damn, please just end this game and do outlast 3.

This, by far is one of my favorite games to play, there's so much content that continues to keep being made that I never get bored of it. I've gotten all the hours I have just on a tiny handful of trials out of the so many different and unique ones in game, full length and MK. I've been playing on and off and been a large fan of the game for the past ~2 years now I wanna say? There's so many gorgeously designed and atmospheric and genuinely terrifying trial environments, so many details and so much care and love and design put into every map, and most of all, Red Barrels effectively keeps all of its signature uncut, nasty and vulgar outlast horror and messaging in classic fashion. It also stands as a true un-censored bloody message to current and past political issues and represents and draws horribly, but beautifully written, corruption from real world U.S history, underground operations and etc. It in a sense is almost like a dramatic allegory for the entirety of the U.S governments corrupt capitalism and facism, which I personally LOVE to see depicted in critical games realistically and as true to nature as possible, more often than not its not done well, treated as taboo or obviously made from people who never known or researched it a day in their lives. This game just does it so beautifully horrifyingly and realistically. I also like how as well, its not like your usual horror game where everything is passed off as spirits or spiritual in nature or supernatural somehow, the scariest part of this game is that the actual horror of it is the evil of other people. Feels like a proper and scary ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ when it shows you what people are and have been capable of and that there doesn't need to be a higher evil power or some corrupt god or whatever the hell. Its a scary but actually realistic horror. I also like how the game as well provides you with a lot of in game resources and currency as is so you don't really need to spend the money on the game to look cool or have fun or spice up your gameplay or even just have a nice little room or character in game. That's the kind of game model I personally like best and honestly it makes me more inclined to spend on the game and support the team. I also like as well, how its just as fun to play and do trials on your own as it is to do with other people and from a storytelling standpoint, you also don't need to play with others to feel involved or to "get" it. That being said, in Red Barrels fashion of course, they've never been shy about nudity, extreme gore or depicting very mature or sensitive topics. So with that, it may not be suitable or even possibly triggering to some. Just keep that in mind obviously, though... duh? Its Outlast LOL One of my favorite horror games to this day and a lot of times I just find myself having fun starting up the game in my off time, on weekends or right after work even if just to do my daily or weekly tasks. :))) *Also just as importantly, the game company as well, ACTUALLY listens to their community down to the individual voices, feedback, requests map ideas, bugs, in game content and QOL updates and merchandise even, and I mean genuinely they do, and its a beautiful and rare thing to see. If you like horror and just Outlast in general, and have honestly, a pretty strong stomach and aren't disturbed by much please give this game a shot, the devs are awesome and the work they put in shows every update. <3

I love being pegged by prime assets every trial, especially by Franco Barbi, targeting me all the time like the freak he is ,ig bro wants my milk so bad lmao But tbh this game is amazing and im having so much fun playing it with my friends and alone
I love this game. When i play this game alone or with friends i can feel the therapy working on me. i am becoming Easterman's how high. In public i start to feel like i am tweaking, for example In school i start to hear the siren of jaeger coming from somewhere and i start to tear down posters, so i can complete my secondary objective. Also the trial environments are very beautiful and well made and in general the game is very beautiful. I love when all the prime assets violently throw me around the trials (It turns me on). I recommend this game for everyone.
