About
On the barren island of Nuraga, you're stranded in the desert with your Grandpa. Your bull died of exhaustion, and Grandpa is too tired to march. Luckily, you've found shelter in ancient ruins where Grandpa can rest and you can look for food beneath the sand.
But when instead of desert potatoes you dig up ancient relics, Grandpa starts acting strange. He pushes you to dig deeper and deeper, heedless of the eerie atmosphere that permeates the ruins and the mysterious events happening around you.
The Old Flesh of Nuraga is a short narrative psychological horror game with treasure-hunting, branching dialogues, and multiple endings.
Use a divinatory bell to reveal hidden objects beneath the sand. Its ringing shows you where to search. Once you've found something, clean it of dirt, but be careful not to damage it.
Many items await you. Some are mundane, like a potato; others are cursed relics of a forgotten age; a few are alive. But all of them will change your fate, for better or worse.
Your Grandpa is the only family you have left after the death of your parents. He raised you with love, but he is getting old and frail.
Grandpa lived a long life. He made mistakes. He has regrets. He hides secrets. In the midst of the seeping madness, you may discover sides of him you've never imagined. Will you stay with him nevertheless? Or leave him with his sins to rot under the sun?
Nuraga is an ancient land with a long history, most of which has been forgotten. Legends survive, but they are only pale reflections of more sinister truths.
A cohort of characters lurk among the ruins: a Tomb Raider, a Warrior, a Mother, a Demon, and many others. Depending on your choices, you may or may not find them. Witness their decay and shape their final moments.

The Old Flesh of Nuraga is a delightful little game, it is mechanically very simple but I really enjoyed wandering around the area, learning about the world and the characters and the player character's relationships. Very entertaining horror game with a really good aesthetic and atmosphere. Some small bugs but nothing that can't be solved by re-downloading the game or starting back from the chapter select.

This was a pretty decent game, albeit the bugs. I'd recommend waiting a little while before downloading it if you haven't already, as there are still a few bugs after the fixes were applied as of the timestamp of this review.
Last year I played "Loan Shark", another title made by this studio, and I was amazed by it: simple, spine-chilling and intriguing gameplay. "The Old Flesh of Nuraga" is on another level. Even more immersive, with dark themes and an envolving gameplay too. The studio's specialty is creating short-story games, which I love, and they do it amazingly - even if you play the game only for 2-3 hours, you feel part of it. I really feel this game is a must try for the lovers of the genre. Best 4€ I've spent on Steam.

Приятная игра на вечер. По атмосфере напоминает Безымянный город Лавкрафта. Геймплей простой, есть несколько концовок, получить все довольно легко.
Interesting and atmospheric game! I recommend it to play to it during a chill evening 🦖🔥
Extremely well done short horror experience! I was hooked immediately! Definitely recommend trying this one
Tremendous cosmic horror story game with light, inoffensive gameplay and strong thematic cohesion. It perfectly encapsulates the fear of unknowable, vengeful gods and the foolish mortals who opposed them, while also telling the heartbreaking personal story of a well-meaning girl caring for her pathetic and deteriorating grandfather. The weight of time withers all... The story of the Nura and Cinera will stick with me for a while.
The Old Flesh of Nuraga is a really interesting and unique game. The dark red visual style creates a creepy and unsettling atmosphere, even though there aren’t many jump scares. I really enjoyed the way the game builds its horror through the environment and overall atmosphere. One thing I would suggest is adding some brief explanations for the characters, creatures, or legendary objects that appear in the story. Since Norse mythology may not be very familiar to many players, a little extra information would help us understand the lore and story better. Overall, this is a really cool and atmospheric horror game. Definitely recommended! This is my video review : https://youtube.com/live/jy45tm30B1w
