About
On the barren island of Nuraga, you're stranded in the desert with your Grandpa. Your bull died of exhaustion, and Grandpa is too tired to march. Luckily, you've found shelter in ancient ruins where Grandpa can rest and you can look for food beneath the sand.
But when instead of desert potatoes you dig up ancient relics, Grandpa starts acting strange. He pushes you to dig deeper and deeper, heedless of the eerie atmosphere that permeates the ruins and the mysterious events happening around you.
The Old Flesh of Nuraga is a short narrative psychological horror game with treasure-hunting, branching dialogues, and multiple endings.
Use a divinatory bell to reveal hidden objects beneath the sand. Its ringing shows you where to search. Once you've found something, clean it of dirt, but be careful not to damage it.
Many items await you. Some are mundane, like a potato; others are cursed relics of a forgotten age; a few are alive. But all of them will change your fate, for better or worse.
Your Grandpa is the only family you have left after the death of your parents. He raised you with love, but he is getting old and frail.
Grandpa lived a long life. He made mistakes. He has regrets. He hides secrets. In the midst of the seeping madness, you may discover sides of him you've never imagined. Will you stay with him nevertheless? Or leave him with his sins to rot under the sun?
Nuraga is an ancient land with a long history, most of which has been forgotten. Legends survive, but they are only pale reflections of more sinister truths.
A cohort of characters lurk among the ruins: a Tomb Raider, a Warrior, a Mother, a Demon, and many others. Depending on your choices, you may or may not find them. Witness their decay and shape their final moments.

Ottimo gioco, soprattutto per i dialoghi e l'atmosfera, com'è tipico di Studio Ortica.
Very good game, worth the price. It's fairly short, but the amount of story packed into the experience kept it interesting throughout. My only negative experience is that there's an issue with the borderless windowed mode bugging out, jumping between exclusive fullscreen and borderless windowed between menu changes. Other than that, great experience.

A fair experience with a powerful message and gorgeous world-building. However, it is extremely short, taking less than an hour to 100%. I also ran into some bizarre FPS drops and experienced a crash during my short playtime.
Following on their previous games, these guys keep delivering. Nuraga is yet another boutique hand-crafted short story, told with an essential game mechanic and authentic dialogues. I found the overall writing to be movie-like (this could easily turn into a short film imho); while credits were rolling down, I felt like I had just come out of a theater after a Nolan film, puzzled and thinking about what I had just seen on the screen. Also, no bugs encountered in my playthrough; just a little bit of suspiciously high loading time at the start of the game and some stutters/hiccups here and there, but not too annoying. I feel in a market saturated with clones that try to cash on the latest trends (e.g. see the bazillion copies of incremental clones or the recent sort-slop genre) we are lucky developers like these exist and we get to experience their creativity!
POSITIVE REVIEW, BUT CAN’T RECCOMMEND Loved where this was going, but disappointed The style and atmosphere are exceptional The price is right The game mechanics are really catchy and fun And the lore potential is SO good.... But the flow is... a bit off. I'm not sure if it's the awkward dialogue (at times) or certain repetitive "roaming" bits, but I wanted so much more from this based on the demo. Maybe I hyped it up too much in my head. Either way I think this game has MASSIVE potential if it makes some very minor edits
short game with awesome graphics and a poor grandpa
I really loved this game! The story and the metaphors it carries with it hit close to home. It was a wonderful exploration of the pain of caring for someone, and what it does to you. For the price this is an experience well worth it. In comparison to the last game by this studio, The Old Flesh of Nuraga blows it out of the water. The atmosphere is incredible. And it all blends together beautifully. Not a pixel feels out of place. I was very impressed.
