About
The Message from Deep Space is an odyssey of puzzles. Take the role of the mission's Translator, working alongside a scrappy band of scientists, and venture headfirst into the world of deciphering an alien language --- completely from the ground up.
Set in 1973, Earth is the recipient of a meteorite that broadcasts radio waves. In the role of the mission's Translator, the player is responsible for designing responses to the meteorite's transmissions, which, if correct, will elicit new messages from the meteorite. Only through this radio wave dialogue will patterns, words, syntax, and meaning all take form, leaving but one question:
What is it the aliens want to say?
Translate an alien language
Learn about an alien civilization
Interface with a retro computer
Manage a user-driven dictionary
Design radio transmissions by frequency
Collaborate with scientists that respond to your actions
+1000 in-game dialogues
+30 minutes OST
+30 hours of gameplay
Inspired by The Golden Record aboard the Voyager I space probe, The Message from Deep Space takes a realistic approach to deciphering an interstellar message. Beginning with the limited universal constants available to technologically advanced civilizations, the message spans a range of real-world fields of math & science. Decoding the message is tough, but with the support of the game's meticulous linguist, the single-minded computer programmer, and the affable astronomer, it is a challenge fit for anyone with Curiosity and Perseverance.

Reviews
Message from Deep space is both a fascinating great puzzle game and incredibly difficult to do alone. The game could use more hints and show signal length for answers, but the experience is one of a kind of you're willing to reach out to the discord and dig for help.
Sometimes, -12 -4 0 and it's solemn and quiet. Other times, -12 -4 0 and it's joyous and celebratory.
This game is genuinely one of the best games I've ever played. A very unique concept of game along with well-written characters build up such a unique experience. If you dont mind sitting in front of problems, this is a must play!

Great puzzle game but long and occasionally frustrating
Truly a masterpiece, if you have any worries about playing this game just dont - the discord server is extremely helpful and every built-in system for help is as smooth as butter. i cried by the end/10
The in-game calculator can not handle the decimal separator being a comma. Mind you, I did not choose this option, the game just decides for you what your separator is going to be, probably based on system settings or something. The game also expects you to use the in-game calculator, because it has specific functions in it made specifically for your needs. WHY does the game even borrow your regional settings in the first place? I do NOT want to use tools in my browser (especially since your windowed borderless mode doesn't work either). I will NOT change my system settings every time I want to boot up the game (if that even fixes it). Trying to figure out the logic behind an answer for 45 minutes before realizing that the game itself is wrong is just insane in a game like this. Stays as negative until fixed.
Happy dictionary, Happy Life.
Wonderful puzzles and an interesting story!
Probably my GOTY.
I don't know if I've ever played a game this profound. I don't know if I will ever play a game this profound ever again. The people who made this game are truly incredible, and I hope they understand that they have made a genuine work of art that has touched me deeply.
