The Mansion

Um... was that it? I mean early access yea but it's been in that state for how long now? Thought it was just on my WL for too long and hadn't updated. Lots of weird graphic problems like suddenly being able to take the bolt cutters down the ladder at the tree which you're not meant to do... yep it crashed the game as well as you couldn't drop them or do anything. The fact you have to put the lantern away every time you do something as simple as open a door is annoying and the guy besides being pretty much a dumb ass is so slow even at a run. The graphics do look good but starting the game off without any real idea of why your there or what's going on except for the basic store page blurb leaves you wondering, well, why you're there and what's going on. Being unable to change key setting or being able to play with a controller was a dead loss, key settings were just plain bizarre for me. Another gripe would have to be the sound, I turned the music off (didn't really seem to fit with the game either) as it was over bearing. The other volume settings even when turned down were still incredibly loud and 'heavy' especially as you are supposedly sneaking around the mansion. All in all it would have been nice to continue on, not sure how this was part or chapter 2 as I didn't play 1 as far as I'm aware, unless this was one and two merged??? Wish I could recommend it but not yet and by the seems of it not ever. (By the way I know this has been around for some time and it may seem late to be reviewing it but it's the first chance I've had to get back to Steam since under going cancer treatment.)
