Survival mode is good, story mode is mid. This is a niche audiance type of game where the "fun" part comes with the difficulty level you set it on. You can eaither make it a walking simulator or die within 5 seconds of spawning from a pack of wolves. You could argue that this is the... 'Tarkov' of survival games. Are there better survival games you could be playing? Yes. Should you watch YouTube videos about this game before buying? Yes. Do I recommend the game? Only if you like "Realism" which in most games that's boring and get ready to watch hours of YouTube videos on how to survive.

**The good** The strong part of the game is the survival mode sandbox. If you like exploring locations and playing with mechanics, this is an excellent choice for you. Graphics, sound and atmosphere are amazing. **The bad** The story mode is ridiculous. The story slowly deteriorates as it progresses and becomes more and more nonsensical and illogical. The ending is just straight-up disappointing. Play survival mode instead.

Столько лет ждать развязки Wintermute и получить такую поделку. Всё было весьма неплохо до 4 акта в 5 эпизоде.. в котором просто обнулили весь прогресс и переиграли весь сюжет и спрашивается ради чего, чтобы что... В общем, в конце есть несколько сюжетных поворотов которые вызывают просто недоумение. В целом игрушка неплохая, но концовка вызывает разочарование.

A survival game that doesn't include zombies or cannibalistic humans. It's you against nature, the elements and wildlife. Beautiful graphics, amazing ambience. I found this game back in 2021, so I have both Survival and Story modes, and I bought the DLC. I prefer Survival with the DLC stories for my own gameplay as opposed to Story mode.

For me, this game doesn't hit in the right spots I believe it should. I'm going to start and say how great part of this game is, the detail in how to survive like not being able to craft if its too dark because you can't see, or being able to light a match depending on the wind. The developers truly took their time to craft a wonderful game and they did, the art direction is amazing and the soundtrack is wonderful. It just isn't for me, I've played a few survival narratives before and they're all unique however this one feels like you have space to explore but at the same time feel so shelled to one spot. (I'm only reviewing about the episodic story btw). I do feel like the game spends too much time in the menu, I wish I could craft using a bench or something like that rather than having everything in one radial menu. It's a lovely game and I'm not saying you shouldn't play it however it just isn't for me in the narrative sense.
