Great sound effects, but that's about it. Too short, zero interactivity, lots of reading, sometimes on panels without visuals... Certainly not for kids without a parent reading the whole thing, and not for adults for being too bare and basic. Only reason to purchase it is for Meadow bonuses, but those aren't even good.

This "No" comes with the caveat that this is good for what it is, but it is mostly overpriced for what it is. I was definitely expecting more from it than what I got out of it. I bought it for $0.99 on sale, so I am not too upset, but if I had paid full price, I would probably be asking for a refund right now. The Lonesome Fog is very visually and aesthetically appealing, the music and sound effects are nice, and the 3D effect given to the pages when you click and drag makes the illustrations pop a little more. However, the story is less than 10 minutes in length, and that's *if* you take the time to click and drag around on each page to see the 3D effect. As such, the story itself feels a little under-developed, and I felt the conclusion was unsatisfying because of it. Even another 3-5 pages of character development, introspection, exposition or *something* would make the story feel more fleshed out. For me, it felt like it was "missing something." I thought, perhaps, that the book might have interactives on each page in the sense that, if you click on an animal in a scene, the fish might jump, or a bird might flutter and flap its wings, etc. The only interactive I can see is the click and drag aspect, and that's it. It would be good for those with kids, because no doubt the young ones would want to read and re-read the story, clicking around to see the effects, since they are generally more entertained by such dynamics, and don't really care about the finer points of literary analysis. So, I would definitely recommend for anyone with children, but for those of us without, this might be a disappointment.
I can't believe that this visual novel costs 7,70€. It's cute, yeah fine but not even 20 minutes long content feels like a total rip off. Don't buy it - look if you get it in a bundle or for free, if you really want it. 0/10
Cute art, but over within ten minutes. Worth checking if you got it for free with Shelter like I have, but I'm certainly glad I didn't pay for it. The story didn't do much for me, personally.
I am not going to lie, I had to look up how to get past the first screen, but in my defense the arrows were offscreen. The story thing was great and it will make the lonesome fog in the actual game a little less annoying and stressful.
Short, cute story and a great analogy, I absolutely love everything Might and Delight makes, their art is fantastic. Can't wait for more! About to play Shelter 2, Shelter 1 hit HARD emotionally, SO good!!!!
A very good read. It gives some good lore and context into some events that can happen randomly in Shelter 2. (Though those events are much rarer now than they were when the first game was released, in my experience.)
really good, but I felt it lacked purpose and depth. worth the price, but very, VERY short. I was hoping for a backstory of the lonesome fog, but this is good as well. I mildly regret buying it, but the story is not very long and does not have the things that drag me into feeling and emotion. if you wanna buy it, know what you are getting.
A short and sweet little story with a lovely soundtrack and atmosphere. ♥
