About
The Life and Suffering of Sir Brante is a narrative-driven RPG that comes to life on the pages of the protagonist's journal. Set in a ruthless world where any form of dissent is mercilessly crushed, the story follows a man who has dared to challenge the existing order. Set out on a lifelong journey and become an individual able to carve out their own destiny... But remember that freedom never comes cheap.
Life in the Great Arknian Empire is harsh and its hardest Lot is yours by the circumstance of birth. You are a commoner, holding no rights and no title. To seize your fate and become the rightful heir to the legacy of the Brante family you will have to come to grips with ossified tradition and prejudice. Embarking on a life-long journey from one's birth until true death, you will have to endure great upheavals, face adversity, and make many difficult choices. Every decision will affect not only the protagonist, his family, and loved ones, but may even topple the foundation of the Empire itself.

At the turn of time
Every imperial citizen's life is predetermined by their estate. The deities known as the Twin Gods have bestowed this truth to the world, dividing mortals into Lots. The nobles lead and rule over others, while the clergy guides people on the one true path, and the lowborn suffer, toiling away for the glory of the Empire. You may accept your fate without question, but it is also in your power to change the cosmic order that governs all.

Your choice is not an illusion
Divided into chapters, the game keeps track of the player's deeds, the skills they acquired, as well as other overlapping circumstances that shape a unique plotline for each playthrough. Every decision has its consequences and you will be held accountable throughout the entire journey. To protect your family and loved ones, to impose the rule of the Emperor and make a fortune, or to try and change the world as you see fit... Make your choice, but beware of the follies of pride and ambition.

Fight for your life
One man is anything but omnipotent in this realm yet under your guidance, Sir Brante may become a person who can endure every trial fate throws at him and rewrite the very laws that govern his world! Develop and train your character, leveling up such traits as determination, sensitivity, and endurance. All of the hero's skills, starting with those acquired in infancy, will affect his personality, worldview, and relationships, ultimately unlocking new talents and possible storylines.

Find your own path
The first complete walkthrough can take you upwards of 15 hours! Numerous branching paths that affect the unfolding story will make every playthrough a unique experience: become a noble judge, learn the ways of the inquisition, plot a revolution as a member of a secret society, or embrace an entirely different purpose. Be brave and fate itself shall bend to your will!

There and hereafter
Resurrection system allows the character to keep his experience upon death, letting the player reevaluate past steps and make adjustments to their strategy going forward. Take control not only of your life but also your demise, then put everything at stake in this cycle of death and rebirth!

Очень понравилась игра. Сюжет зацепил, местами было очень трогательно. А музыка вообще отдельная тема, несколько раз я из-за неё плакала.
What drives someone to rebel against the structures that define them and the world around them? What is it in us that yearns to release the shackles of the assumed and to fight those ignorant to the scope of perspectives that encapsulate the known reality? Do we burn for change to placate our egos or is it a deeper drive within the human psyche that pushes us to break free from the previous strata of existence and into the vaguely projected evolution of it? Is rebellion a self-serving system and can we truly embody change in a way that ensures the price paid does not rot away the foundations? Many such questions arise when playing this interactive novel. It is inherently a look into the checks and balances of a closed system becoming more open. The dawn of a new age is steadily rising on the horizon and what is perceived as the next step in our evolution as a culture is steadily bubbling up from the collective unconscious. The youthful spring of rebellion washes away the sorrows of winter, as passions ride before reason and reason halts the progress by stubbornly resisting what is to emerge. The new culture clashes with the old, fracturing into smaller rebellions – some against the old; some the new. Yet what has been set to motion cannot be halted and one way or another we are to move forward as a species. But as it stands, the complex of culture is too vast and multifaceted to place into crude categories and when the pendulum swings too far, it is bound to swing back with equal force. One choice may seem to push for the bright future that reaps only razed fields and the furthering of a system of torment upon those would have rather have stayed in the comfort of a known pain, rather than to be forced to partake in someone else’s zealous fight for a freedom that may never manifest as anything other than a trap reframed. It is so easy to vilify those you do not understand. To take up arms against them and to judge them unfit for the reality that is to form. It is even easier to have blind faith in one’s righteousness, through which the hammer of justice enacts harsh punishments – what is done for the good of the system must be righteous after all, no? The youthful resentment and movement towards change soon sours, when passions run dry in the face of a reality too stark to hide away the toll of such reckless judgement over the fate of those who oppose the grand vision. There are no winners in a struggle that so easily casts aside those it deems not in the service of the cause. The hand holding the blade grows weary when it cuts away mercilessly and it may very well find the blade turned inward, when all those opposing the cruelty of one’s judgement have been put to the soil. No amount of intellectualization can mask the stench of an apocalypse masquerading as a revolution. For none may enjoy the fruits of a system so blatantly ripped open without forethought, only for it to shut its jaws down again under the extreme duress of reckless passion turned nihilism. Should we have rebelled in the first place? Was the ordained place of man the right one, after all? Did we rebel against the gods just to be smitten down from the steps of heaven? Ought we have embraced our lot in life and to accept that our hubris makes us ignorant? Is our zest for progress a manifestation of an ego grandstanding as a false prophet? Ought our rebellion be cast inwards, rather than onto the systems outside of ourselves? Is the system we fight to open capable of such openness, when the parts making it up are in a constant state of flux and incapable of the same openness requested of it? Does a healthy rebellious instinct turn into naivete, when the one brandishing it lacks the individuation necessary to understand what it rebels against?

For scale, across Steam · Top Sellers · Poland over the last 30 days: the 21 chart moves that followed a price cut of more than 20% went a median of 12 places towards #1, and the 2,501 moves with no price cut behind them went 1 away. One store, one chart, one country — it is the only place we have enough observations to say even that.
Prices outside the United States have been collected since 6 August 2026 and chart positions since 19 July 2026, so a cut older than that has no market to compare and a market that joined later has no history yet. Nothing here is converted between currencies.

Cara que joguinho bom! Eu nem sou tanto de leitura assim, leio 2 ou 3 livros por ano, mas que historia contagiante, capitulo após capitulo é extremamente difícil parar de progredir. Interessante demais!!!!
