Prices
Each in the currency that store quoted — not converted: the gap between two rows is the publisher's pricing, not an exchange rate.
Every market we collect.
Discounts
Every price cut of more than 20% we have observed, in each market that quoted one, with this game's chart position on either side of it. These are episodes, not a model: a sale is one event, and one event cannot tell you what the next one will do.
Reviews, worldwide (the counter carries no country): 0.43/day in the week to Sep 3 → 1.14/day in the week after.
For scale, across Steam · Top Sellers · Brazil over the last 30 days: the 24 chart moves that followed a price cut of more than 20% went a median of 9 places towards #1, and the 2,404 moves with no price cut behind them went 2 away. One store, one chart, one country — it is the only place we have enough observations to say even that.
Prices outside the United States have been collected since 6 August 2026 and chart positions since 19 July 2026, so a cut older than that has no market to compare and a market that joined later has no history yet. Nothing here is converted between currencies.

Play Liberl and Crossbell arcs first. The game features incredible world-building, memorable characters, and an amazing plot twist at the end.
A good starting point on the Erebonian arc in The Legend of Heroes.
I will recommend this to people who love long stories and JRPGs. The characters are likeable and close to Persona 4's vibe, the character interactions have the tendency to break the fourth wall when the moment calls for it. The story can be a slow burn but it will be worth your time. The long narrative in the cutscenes is like reading a book, slowly immersing you to the world. As a long time JRPG player, I believe that if you have played the likes of Persona then you will feel at home in this game due to its familiar mechanics such as bonding scenes, the equivalent of confidants and social links. In terms of handling bonding cutscenes, this mechanic is bite-sized compared to Persona since Persona requires you to maximise the character's bond levels (social links/confidant levels) to unlock the rest of the game's feature and Trails of Cold Steel only requires you to get to know the character itself. It doesn't even provide the choices unlike in Persona as this will be out of character for Rean when there is choice to play around with the characters you choose to bond with. Replayability can be double-edged. If you play the game blindly, chances are, you won't be able to encounter the hidden quests unless you talked to most, if not all of the NPCs within the vicinity. Back then, missables were a thing but can be a con for most people since most of the people won't have the time to revisit this game after finishing it. Thankfully, Turbo Mode saves the day whenever you feel like breezing through the cutscenes. They emphasised on the replayability part because you won't be able to encounter all of the bonding scenes and hidden quests in one playthrough. Not to mention, I had to replay the game because I missed some character notes in my playthrough, requiring me to talk to the rest of the people and pick the characters I have not bonded with on my first playthrough to fill the character notes. The battle system is similar to Wild Arms 4 since you have to move in various locations to further strategise your usage of crafts and arts. Orbment system is an inspration to Final Fantasy VII's Materia building, but without the need to grind. You just have to craft the orbs yourself and you're good to go. Removing rare orbs on a per chapter basis is a nifty feature that should help characters on a per-chapter basis especially if players are on a tight spot on their first playthrough for convenience. Mastering the orbment system is like building your permanent character's roles on this game. It's rewarding once you know what to build for your characters.
Class VII has my heart and soul. A spectacular start to Rean's journey, I wanna buy the next game right away <3
".... new-model battle orbment made through a partnership between the Epstein foundation and Reinford Company" what did they mean by this?!
I've never seen a group that you would grow so fond of.

Worse then every single other game prior to it.
This is my first game in the series, and I really enjoyed it! What I liked the most is the cast of characters — almost all of the main ones are incredibly interesting. Some of them might seem unlikable at first, but over time they really start to grow on you. The combat system felt engaging to me. I’m not sure how it compares to the other games in the series, but I had a lot of fun figuring it out, and even after 50+ hours of playtime, I never got tired of it.
