Hailed as one of the largest, longest and most meticulously detailed turn-based JRPG series of all time, this first chapter in the ongoing Trails saga sets the stage for what's quickly become Ys developer Nihon Falcom's most popular and best-selling franchise in their entire 30+ year history.

Discounts
Every price cut of more than 20% we have observed, in each market that quoted one, with this game's chart position on either side of it. These are episodes, not a model: a sale is one event, and one event cannot tell you what the next one will do.
Reviews, worldwide (the counter carries no country): 1.43/day in the week to Sep 3 → 0.14/day in the week after.
For scale, across Steam · Top Sellers · Brazil over the last 30 days: the 22 chart moves that followed a price cut of more than 20% went a median of 9 places towards #1, and the 2,513 moves with no price cut behind them went 2 away. One store, one chart, one country — it is the only place we have enough observations to say even that.
Prices outside the United States have been collected since 6 August 2026 and chart positions since 19 July 2026, so a cut older than that has no market to compare and a market that joined later has no history yet. Nothing here is converted between currencies.

This game is a SLOW burn, the prologue was like 8-10h, wouldn't recommend this as a first JRPG ever but man it's one of the best JRPG ever and this is just the first chapter?! The story is your usual JRPG story, good characters, great soundtrack, etc.. All the good JRPGs are kinda have the same mould but I definitely was not ready for the ending. There are actually a lot of dialogues in this game, most NPCs will have new dialogues after an event or cutscene where in other games usually they will just repeat the same thing without acknowledging what just happened. If you installed the voice mod from EVO version all important NPCs will have updated voiced dialogues too. The Orbment and Quartz system is quite good consider how old the game is, it add some restrictions to how you can build a character but at the end everyone will just spam the same few skills, high tier arts are quite disappointing as they are so inefficient to use. You can't overleveled in this game due to exp curve, you get more exp if you're underleveled and vice versa so everyone will have the same intended experiences. I do not recommend playing this game blind unless you really don't care about 100% because there are hidden quests and items that you need to collect that is impossible to get without a guide because of how obscure they are. You think Dark Souls quests are obscure? How cute. Honestly IDK how are people even suppose to find out about these without the internet other than pure chance. Now I'm sad that I didn't buy the entire trilogy and won't be able to afford for a few months.

Simplemente GOD
From a narrative perspective, this is a masterpiece. It also features a complex and interesting magic system, as well as likable and believable characters. Of course, it also has a weakness common to all JRPGs: there is a lot of dialogue to read. Nevertheless, the story is worth it, and the battles were fun and tactically challenging right up to the end.
Я хз чо я тебя на псп забрасывал столько раз. По ходу там было управление всратое, или дело в заедающем аналоге но САЧ Э ГУД ЩИТ, ура что я до тебя наконец добрался полноценно
Це прекрасно
An absolutely wonderful jrpg with one of the best combat systems the genre has to offer, and a great story to boot. Do keep in mind that this game really requires you to take your time with it, considering its very slow pacing. Though if you do decide to take the plunge into the trails series, it will truly be worth it.
Good story, music and gameplay can be a bit of a drag sometimes
