About
Lured in by shared nightmares, madmen travel to a remote island crowned by a silent Tower. No one remembers the journey.
The Lantern of the Laughless Saint is an open world RPG built around exploration and connection. You learn the land by walking it, following rumors, reading scraps of burned history, and meeting lost souls who wandered to the ends of the Earth, following the same feverish dream of a light buried beneath the Tower.
Somewhere in the depths is a theater with an empty stage, waiting for an audience. As you repair or ruin the lives of the island's inhabitants, the phantoms they leave behind take their seats in the audience. The more seats you fill, the more the island listens, and the greater the applause for your final act.
And if you don’t want to descend alone, you don’t have to. The entire game is fully playable in co-op: explore the island together, delve into the depths for treasures, and make the choices that will decide the fate of everyone on the island, and beyond...
A wild, ancient island to explore
Follow leads, find shortcuts into the Tower, stumble into side stories, and piece together what is real and what is mere delusion.
Open Ended
Most quests have multiple resolutions. Mercy, violence, compromise, deceit.
A large cast of bizarre characters
Many strange folk find their home on the island. A giant toad learning to read. An ancient skeleton who just wants to swim. A musician from a faraway land hunts for something precious. Everyone has a theory for why you’re here. None of them agree.
The Amphitheater
Your choices change the world. Treat others with kindness and generosity, and a trusted friend will take their seat in your audience. Fail or abuse them, and something darker takes their place. The House fills either way.
Visceral Combat with multiple weapon types
Punchy combat against strange horrors
Full co-op
Play the whole game together. Explore the world, share the spoils, and decide who you will become, because the consequences belong to all of you.
The Tower does not call the whole. It calls the broken, the wanting.
Fill the seats. Start the performance. Find out what is buried at the bottom of the well.

Fast Travel in Multiplayer is bugged
Really good game overall and definitely worth playing. It feels like a modern throwback to Morrowind in a lot of ways, especially with the exploration, weird mechanics, and the way the game lets you figure things out on your own. The world and exploration were easily my favorite parts. The environments look great, the map is really cool, and there are tons of secrets and little things to find. The world design feels very intentional, and exploring was probably what kept me playing the most. It does need some polish, though. The UI can be confusing at first, some controls aren’t explained very well, and I had multiple quests become impossible to finish because I lost or sold quest-related items. The endgame pacing and final quests also felt a little strange compared to the rest of the game. Even with the issues, I had a great time with it. It’s unique, fun to explore, and has a lot of charm. Definitely recommend it.

after 12 and half hours, I am still unsure how I feel about this game, if you are looking for an rpg along the lines of Morrowind, Wait, this game isn't done yet, and the quest journal has not lived up to morrowinds, i would compare it to skyrims one sentance objectives rather than a recording of information like morrowind, and that is a massive pain point as if you are like me, and forget what an NPC said you cannot relay on the quest tab to point you in the right direction. For many reasons I wouldn't recomend this game at the moment, I will update this review as the game developes, but right now, it has promise, and is a very good start, but is very rough around the edges. The biggest thorn of the quest tab being unfinished was "Mentoring Magic" as the quest menu states "South of the tower" which isnt a great direction as even the town you are in when picking this quest up, is south of the tower, I had to make a whole character just to hear the NPC repeat the diolouge and he states west past the tower, and that "he forgot where exactly" and that is poor design, note this quest is required if you plan on playing a mage as the npc you are looking for can help you make your own spells, which, are as broken as custom magic from morrowind and oblivion, after meeting this NPC he tells you to go through the tower, which, is somewhat the whole point of the game, so i did, and didn't return to him until i reached the tip top and found an egg, thinking he would want it, I went to him, only to find out, when he says go through the tower, he effectivly means step in, fight two ghosts, then go back to him, this is a small annoyance as ascending the full tower with a basic frost spell and poor levitation was, pain ful, and took close to maybe 4 hours.
This game is very much what it says on the tin, a Morrowind-Like RPG, and got to say fan of morrowind, it very much delivers on it. The mechanics are quite fun, charcter creation is simple but works perfectly, the magic is fun, so are magical artifacts and abilties you can pick up while playing. Not longest of games, which is a plus in sense of you can have complete experience without spending 100 hours on this, granted, I can see spending hundreads of hours on this game. Few problems I did encounter are mostly tied to early access state, performance was a big rough on my old laptop, and two quests were seemingly bugged, but that is hopefully fixed in the future, and I hope this game gets many a fun update and maybe some expenasions to the world if those are on the horison.
lockpicking is irritating...they made it a "race against the pins" but you still have to wait for animations to complete before input is accepted. One pin is fine, 2 pins increases how irritating it makes you, and 3 pins makes you uninstall.
Very fun to play co-op with friends. Respawns are bugged though, hope they fix that ASAP.
süper fun
O jogo em si é maravilhoso, a historia e a exploração sao otimas, os devs parecem realmente se importar com o game, as atualizações são muito boas e concertam o game pra valer, valeu cada centavo
The game captures a sense of mystery and adventure I find few games have; it feels a bit like Morrowind, yes, but it has its own identity too, and I love the co-op. It works, it's easy and it's fun.
Unfinished jank where the enemy mobs just stand there
