About
Lured in by shared nightmares, madmen travel to a remote island crowned by a silent Tower. No one remembers the journey.
The Lantern of the Laughless Saint is an open world RPG built around exploration and connection. You learn the land by walking it, following rumors, reading scraps of burned history, and meeting lost souls who wandered to the ends of the Earth, following the same feverish dream of a light buried beneath the Tower.
Somewhere in the depths is a theater with an empty stage, waiting for an audience. As you repair or ruin the lives of the island's inhabitants, the phantoms they leave behind take their seats in the audience. The more seats you fill, the more the island listens, and the greater the applause for your final act.
And if you don’t want to descend alone, you don’t have to. The entire game is fully playable in co-op: explore the island together, delve into the depths for treasures, and make the choices that will decide the fate of everyone on the island, and beyond...
A wild, ancient island to explore
Follow leads, find shortcuts into the Tower, stumble into side stories, and piece together what is real and what is mere delusion.
Open Ended
Most quests have multiple resolutions. Mercy, violence, compromise, deceit.
A large cast of bizarre characters
Many strange folk find their home on the island. A giant toad learning to read. An ancient skeleton who just wants to swim. A musician from a faraway land hunts for something precious. Everyone has a theory for why you’re here. None of them agree.
The Amphitheater
Your choices change the world. Treat others with kindness and generosity, and a trusted friend will take their seat in your audience. Fail or abuse them, and something darker takes their place. The House fills either way.
Visceral Combat with multiple weapon types
Punchy combat against strange horrors
Full co-op
Play the whole game together. Explore the world, share the spoils, and decide who you will become, because the consequences belong to all of you.
The Tower does not call the whole. It calls the broken, the wanting.
Fill the seats. Start the performance. Find out what is buried at the bottom of the well.

went around swinging my club and accidentally killed the 'voice of reason' snail that begged me to listen was too busy swinging, bludgeoned the voice of reason to death LMAO 10/10 game
This has serious potential and I've found it enjoyable. The issue I've encountered so far playing lizard master race is serious clipping on helmets

So far so good. Ive had a good time exploring the world and hearing out any NPC I've run into. The game needs bug fixes and some updates to the inventory system but thats to be expected this early on. excited to see whats to come
10/10. No notes. I love that the devs have been vocal and tireless with hotfixes and improvements almost daily during EA. Can't wait for more to be added to this game and then more in this franchise because both so much promise.
Loving the game so far. I personally like the graphics, the combat and the skill system. I've ran into a few bugs so far, but nothing terrible. The inventory system is pretty bad though. It's 100% worth it so far. Give it a try if you are on the fence.
Even on the lowest settings things are still pretty choppy. Movement is heavy and pretty janky. That could be a good thing if your into it. The voice work is extremely unpolished and has sizable gaps with what's spoken and what isn't, along with weird delays between sentences. Like someone will say a thing, then a good 5 or 6 seconds will pass before they continue speaking what's in the text box. A one that bothers me personally is that lack of tail physics on characters. Not so much as a static animation for when your moving around. It's just a stick attached to you that clips into everything. I didn't make it too terribly far into the game due to my time spent, and it's in early access, so maybe you'll have a better time than me. I really hope things get polished up into a better state, game seems cool.
Buy it, play it, love it, let it crash Now we wait and let the dev fix some bugs the base is amazing and the characters are really strange in a good way. The horny trader is a but annoying with his thirst.
This game is not for the weak
Was shipwrecked on an island. Walked through a village. People asked me to do stuff. Looted a house and walked off into the jungle. Was killed by angry jumping snails. 10/10 GOTY (It's like if Morrowind released a sequel 1 year later on a jungle island; same font, same freedom, same level of interesting culture and conversations. Great work team)
very nice
