About
Lured in by shared nightmares, madmen travel to a remote island crowned by a silent Tower. No one remembers the journey.
The Lantern of the Laughless Saint is an open world RPG built around exploration and connection. You learn the land by walking it, following rumors, reading scraps of burned history, and meeting lost souls who wandered to the ends of the Earth, following the same feverish dream of a light buried beneath the Tower.
Somewhere in the depths is a theater with an empty stage, waiting for an audience. As you repair or ruin the lives of the island's inhabitants, the phantoms they leave behind take their seats in the audience. The more seats you fill, the more the island listens, and the greater the applause for your final act.
And if you don’t want to descend alone, you don’t have to. The entire game is fully playable in co-op: explore the island together, delve into the depths for treasures, and make the choices that will decide the fate of everyone on the island, and beyond...
A wild, ancient island to explore
Follow leads, find shortcuts into the Tower, stumble into side stories, and piece together what is real and what is mere delusion.
Open Ended
Most quests have multiple resolutions. Mercy, violence, compromise, deceit.
A large cast of bizarre characters
Many strange folk find their home on the island. A giant toad learning to read. An ancient skeleton who just wants to swim. A musician from a faraway land hunts for something precious. Everyone has a theory for why you’re here. None of them agree.
The Amphitheater
Your choices change the world. Treat others with kindness and generosity, and a trusted friend will take their seat in your audience. Fail or abuse them, and something darker takes their place. The House fills either way.
Visceral Combat with multiple weapon types
Punchy combat against strange horrors
Full co-op
Play the whole game together. Explore the world, share the spoils, and decide who you will become, because the consequences belong to all of you.
The Tower does not call the whole. It calls the broken, the wanting.
Fill the seats. Start the performance. Find out what is buried at the bottom of the well.

Only put a bit of time in it but I can tell this is gonna be a hit for me. Love the classic graphics Love the bones of the magic system. Love the dialogue. Love not relying on a floating marker. UI needs some work it seems very unity to me but not a huge deal. I'm gonna let this marinate before diving into it. But boy I can't wait!
It's been 5 hours and I haven't even fully explored the first town and I still feel like I have done more than any Bethesda game I have ever playhed.

I'm home again.
Pretty interesting game. Lots of bugs and clipping. Overall has that Skyrim feel to it while still feeling fresh. Need to patch the bugs and tidy up some of the bank tho.
great game so far, really fun to run around with friends and the devs are updating alot
Graphical issues aside, the game itself is great and manages to entice me despite the multiple crashes I've gone through.
gameplay, weirdness and poor performance reminds me of the first time I played morrowind 10/10 experience
So far loving it, art direction is unique, combat is fun, and stories and dialogue are expansive and interesting. Game is a tad quirky and unique and we need that, some reviews saying a fever dream are correct, has a surreal feeling. Can't wait for The Holy Fool, this is a great intro into what that game will be.
I'm already very impressed. Cant wait to play more.
My initial impressions are really good! I'm just getting started but I personally haven't run into any real issues and I'm having a lot of fun! The lore is really cool so far, but seems like it can safely be ignored if that's your thing! The sound design is good and the voice acting is way beyond what I expected (even though there's still a tiny bit of polishing to be done). This absolutely does feel like Morrowind, and there may even be a few little nods towards the opening part of the game that you'll run into... I've still got a long ways to go and I plan to give a more complete review when I'm further along but I just wanted to let the devs know that they need to keep going with this game, and that there's really something good here! I'm sure there will be some day 1 issues for some people, but I'll personally cut the devs some slack if I run into any since I really want to see what this becomes. So far it's been smooth sailing though! I can't wait to see the new races they're adding soon and all the updates that follow!
