The Incredible Adventures of Van Helsing

Very nice progression and loot. Refreshingly witty writing. Love it. And yeah, 10 times better than diablo 4. Trully deserves description of "Hidden gem".

The tone walks a fine line between serious lore and genre parody. It works more often than not, largely thanks to Lady Katarina, your undead companion who delivers dry commentary and actively contributes in combat. Dialogue and quest design are peppered with fourth wall breaks and pop culture nods, but the game still respects its worldbuilding. [b]Combat is fast, flashy, and flexible.[/b] You can build around melee, ranged, or magic, with deep passive trees and active skill modifiers. The customization is rewarding, and a 100 percent run will have you juggling trap builds, aura synergies, and high-risk perks across escalating difficulty levels. [b]The loot system is satisfying, if a bit dated.[/b] Gear drops often, but meaningful upgrades slow down in the late game. Crafting and enchantment are functional but lack depth. Still, min-maxing for elite boss fights and challenge maps adds enough complexity for full completion to feel earned. Some voice work is uneven, and the UI can be clunky, but the game’s charm smooths over most of the friction.
